New Goodies! YES

2 12" Audiobahn subs SE 400 watts rms each along with a refurbished Directed Audio 750D amp.

I know alot may not like audiobahns but i have had pretty good luck with em....therefore i like them. But i do have a question for you all.

This is the kinda style im going to go with:

Now here the problem. He did some fiberglass work to have air space for the sub. Im wondering if there is another way. I wanna try to stay away from fg but if i have to do it i will. Also, if i went with the idea above, im gonna put my spare rim in the middle enclosed with plexi glass on top. Then im going to have a wall right behind it that will house the spare tire. that you can get to from the backseat.

If you guys have references to any other styles that can include what i plan on doing, go ahead and post em. Thanks

You could build out of MDF and use a vinyl to cover the MDF with.

i made a side box similar to those above out of MDF. it was a huuuuge pain in the ass and ended up with a very small ammount of air space. although i did tuck it in the side more, it was still difficult to construct (about 8 hours start to finish). if you can make it worthwhile and get enough airspace with just mdf go for it, otherwise i would go glass and save yourself some mdf hassles

750d from Ikesound? I just picked up a 350d from them, really impressed, straight from Directed and no sign of even being used before, and works VERY nicely might I add .

Nice future setup!

thanks guys, I really cant wait to get things set up. i still need the wiring for em. Im gonna get a 4ga amp kit off ebay for 44 bux from the same place i got the subs. Although im wondering....this audio place near by me said they will do all the wiring and installation for 70 bux.....cuz i dont know how to wire these up...and i dont want to end up screwing up and blowing the amp....so all im doing is making the box....put the subs and amp in place...and then theyre gonna provide all the wiring and installation for 70 bux.....do you think i should just do that?

A little research and reading could save you $26, so you decide. If you're not confident in doing it, fork out the money and let them handle it. Honestly it's easy work.
