This is Andy's car from NEJBODY. He finally got it up and running, and first time the beast is at the track!
I got it all on video, I even shrunk it so you 56k'ers can watch it in its full glory!! I thought it was a real good run for first time at track! Plus, you smoked that JDM civic thing...and your tranny freaked out on you off the line!
It was a cold night yes, but Greg, me, my brother, Greg's girlfriend, Keith (from cobaltss.net), Greg's friend Adam (eclipse), Joe (cobaltss.net), Jess (nej), and greg's friend josh (rsx-s), stacy and andy all stuck it out!
And finally....the video

and its turbocharged? guy i know jus ran that exact same time with an intake and motor mounts, not to mention stock ecos usually run mid 15's
Yea, for a turbo eco thats VERY slow
Horrible time, low 14 trap?.....traction/tranny issues?
what was your whole slip because that 1/4 mile is horrible for that trap speed but other than that i dunno lol

15.1?? how is that fast? i can do that on a 35 shot of nitrous
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
If you watch the video again, you will see something happened at the launch...went from first to third or D. When Andy gets back he will respond...it's his car...I just videotaped....

give him some credit, he got ONE run in after waiting around 1.5hrs, first time at the track, something happened at the launch...at least he knows what the car is capable of which was basically what he wanted to know.

Next time you go to the track watch the guy that just bought the 04-05 GTO. See what he runs.....I watched a friend of mine run a 14.1 @114mph in a C6 ZO6. 14.1 is quick...but not fast. Now tell me a C6 ZO6 isnt a fast car. Come on, i ran 14.5 @ 98, and this guy is traping 2 mph faster.
it comes down to the driver.
hey, just got back from the dyno with him, he said he shifted and missed 2nd and went right into drive and then just said screw it and kept going cause the place was so packed that he couldnt get another run in. Nice to see the car today and him for the first time and then to see this vid. awesome job, btw he put down the most hp and torque at our meet today with 247hp and 237 tq. good job man, you buy drinks next time we hang out!
Just goes to show ya that it dosent matter whats under the hood if the driver cant stick it to the ground.

100 mph is good for very high 13's if you get a great launch, personally when I go to the track I am looking for trap speeds more then /14 times

lol...you have to use nitrous to run a 15.1? I was running that all day with I/E.

oo...forgot to add.
Thats an easy 14.0 car with a 2.0 60'.

Well remember guys, i high trap speed isnt everything to look for, he got a slow start, so there was more time to get to a higher speed going down the track ...
But a 100mph isnt bad at all, car should be a low 14 second car with a good launch ...
with good driving it will run 13 sec for show
nice

THEY LIFT THEM !!!

Thanks Guys!
First time best at the track ( stock ) was 16.5 with barely any weigth reduction ( spare and jack removed )
I am happy with the trap speed even though I still have to learn how to drive it.
Track was slick ... or it felt really slick due to the horsepower increase from stock. Its a brand new surface this year at N.E. Dragway.
Only one run for the night... sucks how busy it was up there and I am sorry to all who stayed out in the cold to watch and tape - the comments on the video are priceless!!
And yes I will have a scan image of the Dyno pulls today - very happy with the HP / TQ numbers, even though it was smoking a little .... well actually a lot - might be some oil passing through the seals on the turbo since its not restricted at all...
Many videos were taken at the Dyno - you will see some nice runs from ILLD9, DCStang, and others...

with a 100mph speed... that works out to about a mid 13 second run with good hook up and good reaction time... so no this isnt really a slow car.. its the fact that you dont go out and run a sweet time your first few times out... for example... first time out in the 2002 Trans am that dynoed at 400hp.. we only ran a best of 13.8.....
