I went Autocrossing for the first time yesterday. I've always wanted to do it but never did. So yesterday mournign drove out to my budies house and we went (Vincent Morris on JBO) we both shared his car. It was out at this little tiny airport in the middle of nowhere Illinois. It was a really really really good time, I never would have thought it would be so much fun, thats the most fun I've ever had with a car. I wont first place in Novice, he took 3rd place in STS. Its funny, officially I beat him with his own car (OWNED!!!) but unofficailly (in the fun runs aftert the event) he did beat my time. I was number 171 he was 71. Its an 04 Ecotec 5-speed, with hawk pads, bear rotors, RKsport prostreets, 17's with Fuzion ZRi's, RKSport intake, and lower motor mount.
anyways on with the pics and vids. I didn't take a whole lot of pics, I got bored with pics since you couldn't get real close to the corse.

yeah autocrossing is def fun, havent done it in awhile, but looks like it was tons of fun.

I'm not working on mine at all for a while. I'm not puting any time or money into it untill after vacation is over (end of this month)
The tires to b ehonest I wasn't real impressed with, don't get mne wrong they are a good tire for a low price but some Azienis or somethign would be the better option for autocross, as you can see in the vids there is almost no body roll, the it handles great but the the tires didn't offer enough grip up front, the understeer is a bit much when your really laying into it.

Ill admit it, he beat my on the record with my own car. he ran a 52.507 i think, i ran a 52.709 i think. then in fun runs i ran a 51.046. It was a lot of fun and he did good using my car. it was a first time for me and him both using that car. He got all the mods basically that i have. it was a lot of fun that day.
As for tires, those were the best i had. Im looking at getting some form of falkens. they are going to have to fit a 17" rim because im going to keep my 17's they didnt slide too bad for being some used fuzions. i could have adjusted the air pressure but i didnt. im getting some 18's before i get any new tires at all.
And as far as the new car, i was in an accident april 2nd and had to upgrade, not that im upset at all about it. Its a lot better, nicer, quicker, and more problem free than the last.
