i know the interior looks like crap. it will be redone at some point this summer. i was more concerned with getting the turbo in and tuned than the appearance of the car

Suggestion, there is probably an answer for this that i can't see but i'll make it anyway...
Why not just clock the compressor straight down and get rid of those 90 and 45 degree bends?
BTW, that car looks good.

seriously, that hot side charge piping looks awful restrictive. Redo that and u may see even a bit more power and more effiency from the turbo.

topfeed conversion using ford red tops and 2200 fuel rail, adjustable fmu and afpr

that was the first thing i tried, but the stupid internal wastegate doesn't allow it. the wastegate would sit right in front of the compressor outlet.
WOW! A boosted 2.2 with the three-speed, very impressive! Any chance of you going to a dragstrip or dyno to get some numbers?
Just out of curiosity (because I have a 2200 with a three-speed), around how much did the whole setup run you, and is the trans still stock or did you build it at all?
All the same, that's really sweet.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
looks good man. keep up the good work

when i go back up to school in the fall(shippensburg univ), i plan on making the drive over to CNFX. CNFX occasionally has weekend dyno days where you get 3 pulls for $50 or $55. so i'll have some numbers some time in august or september.
my trans is stock, its actually a gm remanufactured 3t40 because my stock tranny blew up 2 years ago. i haven't done any work to it at all. my setup cost somewhere in the ball park of $2600. i had been shopping around for a year or so to find all the best deals on parts. ebay was very helpful.
i took the car for spin this morning and stomped the gas and saw about 5 psi and then one of the charge pipes blew out of the connector. those stupid worm gear clamps suck. i've already ordered a bunch of t-bolt clamps to replace them. this weekend i'm headed out to the allentown area to see my girlfriend, but i'm not sure if i'll be taking my car or i'll be rockin my mom's 03 cav. i have an oil leak in my feed line that spews oil on the turbo, so i definitely need to take care of that before i drive the car again.
thanks for the comments. i'll have videos as soon as my new clamps get here.
OK, thanks for that info. I'm going to colelge in the fall and won't be able to take the car, so my sister will most likely keep it to learn to drive on. I figured that next summer when I'm back from school, if the car's still in one piece and runs, I'll do something fun with it, either nitrous or a turbo. Because at that point it'll be at or above 100k miles and even more rusty, so I might as well have some fun in it before it dies.
Anyway, your project has shown me that a turbo on the three-speed is feasible, so potentially this time next year you'll hear from me asking for help boosting a 2200, haha.
