well for like the past month me and a friend have been working on and off on this and we finally finished and got it back from paint. its a base model wing molded tothe trunk. all the underside of the wing was covered in fiberglass so it looked smooth and wing is held on there by some strips of metal i think six in all just to be sure. anyways just wanted to show yall espeacially since i think thismight be the first time someone does this, well let me know wat u think sorry for the crappy quality took it on my phone. oh and hte bumper is not on its geting painted too

yup yup just fiberglass and some bondo, i think it looks good like that i would do it if i had a stock trunk but id rather not mess up my carbon fiber one and do that, but i thought it looked better than gettting some other wing on there, ill see if i can take some more pics with my phone and put em up
more pics from other angles before an opinion from me.. im kinda 50 50 on it right now

God it must weigh a ton ! I got $10.00 that says that trunk no longer will open on its own.
It does look kinda cool though. Deff must have been alot of work !

haha yeah it kinda goes up halfways and just comes back down lol, well when i see him later on today if hes in his car ill try and get some more pics if not tomorow for sure cuz i have to meet up with him because im buying some rims and tires off him

Yea... IMO, molded in stock position woulda been sexxor. Whatever floats yalls boat tho
yeah its supposed to hang off the back of the trunk kinda like a pro stock wing and the bottome of the part that is hanging out is glassed up too so if u look under the wing it looks all smooth and painted also

That brickyard looks good, but really funny without the inners, and why shave inners and not trunk lock? If your going to that much work install an electronic trunk release.

i kinda like it... the brickyard is too big and clunky for me
and my trunk doesnt open up at all lol, when i pull the release lever it just pops and i have to move it up

Cavalier trunks with no spoilers fly up like crazy. Anything at all on there will keep it down though.

^^ not when u shave a trunk.. but the metal plates prolly equal the weight of a stock wing so even tho i dont have a wing,lock, or inners on mine it still doesnt go up all the way.. goes up halfway and comes back down.. i too also have the lil handy button remote but also have a lever..

about the trunk opening by itself ... spoiler on the car at regualr stand on a flat 0 grad road no open for me, spoiler on the car parker on hill were noise is higher then rear ... open for me, sam as last one with rear higher and noise lower ... no open for me. i think my trunk is just f'ed up!
and when spoiler is off and your trying to find sub rattles ... that thing flys open like a mofo!
