well i sold the cavi almost a year ago this month and guess what...the kid who bought it crashed it the other night and died. sad to hear the kid died really but the min. he bought the car he started to claim he did anything and everything to it like thie and i quote his myspace "My name is Blake, what else is there to know??I have a Hooked up Cavalier with custom paint job, custom interior, molded body kit, grett turbo, 19 inch aerospeed wheels, greddy innercooler, port and polished, new pistons and rods, redone engine, AEM fuel rail, 80CC fuel injectors, AEM chip, catback exhaust, drifting suspension, and getting 100 shot innercooler spray....." the engine still had stock internals stock fuel rain WTF and AEM chip? lol 80cc injectors? wow
he also began to street race EVERYONE just because he had turbo (mind you it was still on stock injectors and fuel and not tuned). he began to give my car a bad rep but i came to hear and read that he crashed the car and died in the accident so i would figure i would post the cavi for some good memories sake...thanks guys for your support and and help through this amazing project and beautty i built!

That sucks the little @!#$ wrecked the car. That was too nice of a cav to treat it like he did.

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
WOW, that stuff gives you goosebumps. That car looked awsome!!! It's a d@#n shame. But street racing is sorta like swimming in a pool with no lifegaurd at, your own risk. It's sad to hear, but is something we all know is there (cops as well). Honestly it could have been too much power for the person. In his cause you can only say BOUGHT not BUILT.

I thought that was said before that movie (i happened to have liked both cant wait for the 3rd). Mainly ment that with a turbo its not something your average joe could handle. I dunno if his suspension was done up, but i hear the stock suspension doesnt like high speeds etc..
Don't beat yourself up about it, its no where near being your fault. I had the same thing happen to me 3 or so years ago. I built an 11 sec Fire Bird and then sold it to my friend Matt, he sold it to his brother who in turn sold it to a guy who bought it for his 16 year old son. 2 weeks later while trying to get into a street drag race he ran from the cops they chased he hit a tree head on at about 140 mph, lived 2 days in the hospital just long enough to tell his parents he loved them and he was sorry. Sure I feel bad but its not my fault the kid died, don't let this bug you too much man.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
if you read the article it doesn't say anything except "high rate of speed" driving a car like that anything is a "high rate of speed" I'll admit it looks like the kid is a douche but you don't know enough to judge this event.

Too bad. Some people never learn. Sorry to hear about your ex-car.

Seems the kid lacked any cohesive parenting (or the mind to listen to such) and decided he was indestructible. In the words of Dane Cook: "Guess not."
