Just got done fixing up the exhaust. We hollowed out the cat and ran a pipe straight through. The cat that was in it was so blocked up that it would not allow the engine to boost. Welded everything up and it looks factory, good thing there is no emission testing done in this part of the woods.
Car has been working really well, I have a little under 1400kms on it now and have be pushing WOT the last few days. The car pulls like never before, I took it up to 6600rpm and it pulled stronger than ever all the way to my shift point at 6600. 2nd gear is now absoutly usless above 65% throttle on street tires (235/45/17)
Everything is being logged and so far so good, the most knock I have seen is .9 and that is just when I fist floor it (bust knock) and then returns to 0. It can be fixed with some minor adjustments to the PCM. I'm also running a little rich above 3k (commanded A/F is 11.5-11.1) and only 12-13.5 degrees of timing so there is lots of room for improvment. The only issue that I am running into now is my injectors. I really need a new set before I drop down to a 2.6" pulley (mmmm more boost
) as they are now maxing out above 6200rpm.

I love the sound of it too but I think it's a bit too loud right now. I'll have to pick up another hi-flow cat soon for when I swap over to a 3" exhaust.
