I had a buddy selling his W7 cheap.. since he wasnt using it anymore, but it was missing the W7 logo on the cone ( popped off ) and was in a really ugly ineffecient box.. I took it off his hands and got a good box built to JL Spec from an Authorized Dealer, and JL sent me some replacement badges. .. so heres a look at the progress I made today..

I started with this..



Removed it.. some shots of the sub when I put the emblem back on and cleaned it up





Then decided to mount it in the new box ( much better box )







I am waiting for the 1000/1 amp to get here from my same friend, but he left it in Avon which is far from here, so im powering it with a ELA300.1 Bazooka amp, gain is turned down to sound nice and clean, bass boost off, xover all the way down to 40hz.. so it would be a LOT louder with the 1000/1.. but either way i got some vids of the sub not really tuned right running off about 200w, moves good for being underpowered

Here are some vids I took giving it like 200w.. so it will def. move a lot more than that but its ok till the amp comes





Also, the highs arent cutting out and theres not really any distortion that I can tell, just a crappy camera sounds

Thanks guys.. once the 1000./1 and 300/4 amps get installed and I get some ZR components up front.. Ill be A LOT happier, but this is def. a nice sub for sure, its my 2nd 12W7.. the first I had the 1000/1 hooked up but in a box built way wrong, loud but bad hz range.. this one sounds good, now just needs more power

box came out nice, i'd get more matching carpet and redo the stock trunk carpet so it all matches and looks nice.
