I was wondering if any one had a picture of the "covers" that some people made to cover up the hideous crack. just wondering and thanks for who ever can help me out here.

I would settle for a picture of what the notorious dash-crack looks like in the first place. I've heard about it plenty of times, but never seen a picture. I'm guessing it's where sun has cracked the vinyl dashpad?

hahaha well i heard that some people made like fiberglass covers, and i looked into it but i never seen a picture like a before and after, but ya. thanks! i think.
I wish I had one of those gifs that says search on it.... This post was from this month too and I found it . Ppl need to check out the interior forums more often since this comes up alot on there.. and thank god my cavy never had one of these

I had 2 in my Cav. One fixed under warranty, the other was on the next piece. My Sunfire is holding strong though!!! KNOCK ON WOOD!

You might want to try more of that if this site is to attract more members not drive them away cause they might get flamed for the most innocent of gestures.

Yeah Dark, who cares about his red vents?.. Almost have the JBO has them, including me.. He just posted a pic of his vent crack and you had to go way off subject.. Good one!!

Thanks for the pic of the infamous dash crack, Flip. Just don't blame me too much if I take Darkstar's side on the artistic merit of the red defroster vents.
I was actually going to say something to the effect of "it took me a minute to spot the crack, since the honking red vent drew my gaze away from it". Which is actually true. The symmetry works well, though.

Hey I got no issues with people not agreeing with what I do to my car. We all have different tastes. It's one thing to ask and expect a different opinion (even then, there's a way to say it) and getting one, especially negative and in an ignorant fashion, when the opinion wasn't even solicited. Here's to all our different tastes. I know I have looked at some mods and said "no that's definitely not for me" and I have also shaped a lot of what I've done on some great ideas I've seen. That what these forums are about. People forget they started somewhere basic once too and evolved their ride.

1- Actually I never claimed myself to be a superstar.
2- I never said you had change anything.
3- Its good to be helpful, congrats.
4- I help people ever more then I harass people.
5- If someone is gonna cry and leave the site because someone doesn't liek there red vents then screw em, were better off without having to listen to them cry.
