well people want an update so heres an update.
my son got sick and then my wife caught bronchitas or some other annoying illness so i lost about 3-4 weeks. i dont have enough time during the week to work on it so its just the weekends. then i found some stuff that was missing, iat sensor, tps sensor (was broke) and i didnt have a throttle body cable. then after finally finding a radiater they send me the wrong one. so took a 5 hour round trip drive to get the right one.we started putting some of the exterior back together, mainly the right side of the car and i have the wiring about 90% done. running all the wires for the fuse box was fun. its just in butt plugs now but once everything is finished up they will get pulled and soldered. wanted to make sure it ran before i soldered everything. we worked on it this weekend saturday before the meet and got it close. sunday we finished up wiring the starter up to the battery and then i rigged up my wiring for the fuel injectors after spending an hour finding the last connector under a box. dont know how spyder found that lol. so we hook the battery up and turn it over and it turns over but nothing much. we try that a couple times then try the passlock thing wich i was doing from memory and did wrong. after pulling the plugs and trying to think about it i got frustrated and called it a day and went in to have dinner. i hopped on the net and emailed aaron asking for some help and he responded about the passlock again. so i thought about it and went back to pj's post and realised i had done it wrong. so i ran back out to the garage redid the passlock and started it up on the first try. and with an open header man is that thing loud as hell. thats all i had time to do just started it a few times. next week we will let it run a bit check fluids wiring everything to make sure the motor is running good and then there will be the cleaning up of wires and then the front end can go back together and i can get started on the interior. im behind but at least this is a big step in the right direction. my motor knowledge was limited to intakes and such so this was a pretty big chore to take on this winter. on to the pics. wich really havnt changed to much.
the reason my working on the car is severly limited
the wiring for the power wire, this is half the reason the install is taking so long. im running all new power and ground lines for the alt, bat, engine, fuse box, everything.
heres the mess of the fusebox. its amasing how much wiring i end up doing considering how much i HATE wiring. they all had to be numbered and extended with the proper sized wire and ran thru the interior and it sucked but i think it was worth it lol.
fuel lines all wrapped up neatly
cpu extended and ran into the interior. im glad i thought of this one. it was allot easier to do then the fusebox
and cleans up the firewall allot.
crappy shot of the battery wired up
couple of full engine shots
and the passenger side of the car, starting to look like a car again after sitting all winter. though this shot was before the sideskirts got back on and the tires.
