what exactly does this "cam sync" do?
Sounds like a nice list you got there. Im seeing red x's though.

It is supposed to replicate the signal that is produced by our factory cam sensor. The HO cam doesnt have the magnetic strip on the cam like our stock cams for the sensor to read. It is supposed to wrap around spark plug wire #4 (my main reason for the 2.2 coil swap) and read it that way. This keeps the engine running in sequential mode instead of batch fire.
that pretty much sums it up, best reply i've seen on here in a while.
Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
My pile of parts is more impressive, LOL!!

right on! now what say one would like to use the stock 2.4 ign. setup, would it be possible?
^^ Idk the signal wire needs to be wrapped around plug wire number 4...im sure somthing could be rigger up.
Nice parts. Thanks for the explanation a the cam synk.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
Thanks and no problem...I noticed its talked about on here all the time but rarely really explained beyond you need it for HO cams.
Your gona have a nice little sleeper, I love it!
Whens it going under the knife? Theres a MD meet and cruise coming up soon if your interested
oOo that sounds fun, when is it? Im thinking it will go under the knife mid june after the semster and finals are overwith and I get a few full weeks of work in. I still need to buy my head and get the proper mods done to it. I also need to hit the junkyard and get some cam towers to be modified and a LO intake cam since the HO will not fit with the stock bottom end due to valve clearence. Probably by the end of summer I will also be getting another 2.4 from the junk yard and start building my bottom end. Im getting my exhaust wielded from the cat back tomorow and once I do the head swap I will make it a full 3" exhaust. I also plan on installing the yank converter and pullies when I do the headswap.
Youve got some great plans for your car, and I love it cause I dont see many n/a builds with alot of custom work on 00+ z24's. Never heard of anyone using the lsj header on a quad lol
And a few of us are getting together Sunday May 20, at Timpanoes in Rockville for a little meet. Then were gona cruise down to MIR. You can check out a thread in the North East region. If your able to hop on this man! Theres hardly ever any MD meets.
