nice work lookin good

I'm curious about the header let me know how you like it. I'm going to be running a non-sequential header as well but with a straighter exhaust flow to hopefully pick up some horses. I know the eco and the 2.4 are fundamentally different, but they have a lot of similarities

you going to make it out to GLD??

Time to mill that block just another CH then.

Nice work on the engine. I'm curious to see the numbers from it.

I just thought I would mention that THERE IS A VIDEO.....

Keep in mind that this is a cold startup, and the engine is still bran spakin' new with less than 20 miles on it. The lifter tick is horribly loud in the video, and it isn't that bad in real life. We have her feeding on a tank of 93 octane and it appears to be running a tad rich according to the plugs and a/f guage. The pyrometer levels off around 1200 degrees when its warm (only 400 degrees in one video, and 900 in the other) , and the oil pressure is around 65 psi at idle when warm (75 on the cold startup). We just got a muffler on it today, so we might be nice and take some out of car videos. But here are the first video's of her

This is pauls photobucket album, the videos are right there!

Jesse iam still kinda worryed about the tick/knock Jesse if you think back to when we were installing the windage tray the bolt one or the rods was tapping the windage tray we bent it out of the way but was still a close fit it could be that or the lifters.

lifters were brand new jbp abd the cam was slightly useed jbp stage 2 iam having Loren Z machine look at it tonight so we'll see what he thinks.

I would be getting the cams off and getting into the valvetrain and not risking running it anymore if it's as serious as you think. I hope your towing it to the shop.

Pshhhhh stop being paranoid. Its not like it was expensive or anything......

....

...

Okay maybe it was expensive!

Tom and I talked a tad bit and he brought up the possiblity of it being the oil we are using. Currently we have Rotella T 15w-40 in the car. This was recommended by Loren from Z Machine. He uses that oil in their race cars and such. The lifters were designed for 5w-30 oil probably. Does anybody else thing that this noise could be caused by too thick of an oil?
