sorry for the bad pics....
so in the past few weeks i have re-done all of the crap work from the previous owner.
first i found out that the gas lid was "shaved" by bashing in the lid and welding it, they forgot to seal it so there was rotten metal everywhere.... thats where my fun began, cut-off wheel was put to use
so we shaped a piece of metal for a perfect fit so there was as little body work as possible...
turned out perfect!!
then i went out to the junk yard to get a new deck lid, the old one was far from repairable, so i spent two days shaving, and shaping that
that turned out very well also
those were the two main projects that needed to be tackled, after those were out of the way i took on the rest of the little dents and dings with body hammers and a little finishing puddy and preped the car for primer
this was last wednesday.... i had to let it sit and cure, prime the body kit and mirrors, and re-install everything thursday in thime to leave for ITB thursday night... one big headach to say the leased
and here she is thursdy about an hour before we left for the show!
now i am going to block sand the whole car to get it perfectly straight, put one final coat of primer, wet sand it, and PAINT!!! still lots of work but the dirty stuff is done!!
comments please!!!
