alright, paint guy got the wrong idea on what i wanted... how can i make it look intentional. heres what the car looks like...
i said two tone, and i got a red car and black bodykit... both metallic, but whatever
tell him to repaint the entire car the way you want it.
if you told him you want the body kit painted black and the car red thats the only way he shouldnt have to re-ppaint the car.
any other sistuation he should re-paint it for you at no cost.
all show, stock go
in the making
id think about going to someone who has a clue. 2-tone is not a undeground term or anything. a painter who doesnt understand the term 2-tone should not be holding a gun, let alone getting paid for it.
id be pissed!

Something very important....Actually, your car IS two tone. How come you made him paint your car when both of you were not sure about the way it should of been painted.
Now your car looks like an "under construction" project, sorry.
You clearly did not watch the progress of the car nor state how you wanted the two-tone done.
Looks like he chose for you!
i dont know if i want him to touch it again... im trying to think of some ways to make it look intentional... if not im gonna have to suck it up and get it resprayed. i love the red though.
Just suck it up and get it repainted. No matter what ou do it just is not going to look right.

UM..you can get it painted solid red...or find someone with red stock bumpers and trade them...
its not a red stockers would have. its candy apple metallic. im thinking about just doing something with the front bumper to tie it together
WOW!!! yeah take it back and make the idiot paint it the right way WOW!!!!!
just get the bottom of the door and fender painted black. that would look ok. You should go talk to the guy and tell him how unhappy you are with it. He might fix the problem even though its just as much your fault as his.
what if i left the front bumper where the lower lip is (black) and painted the rest to match the car... not much of an improvement?
Quiklilcav wrote:Since the top of the bumpers and the top of the side skirts are the same height, you could just cut a straight line accross the doors & quarter panels and paint below it black. Not the best design, but would definitely look more like a paint job than mismatched parts. If you do it, make sure you pull the skirts off first, and paint the whole thing, then put the skirts back on.
that'd make it worse.
You need to go back and talk to him, and tell him to do it right

stop thinking of a way to make it look intentional all together. Go to the shop and tell him to re-do it! If you said two tone, and he had no idea what you meant then he decided on the two tone layout.
Did you tell him where you wanted the black and where you wanted the red at all?!
Take it back and get it re-done to your liking.

unless we know what he told the guy to do, we cant say it was the painters fault. sure he took the easy way out, but i the guy didnt tell the painter what he wanted.......what else do you expect is going to happen?

Good point.
I understand telling him that I want it 2 tone is extremely vauge. And like tabasco said, the painter took the easy way out

What if you grew some balls and told the shop to fix it... That seriously looks like sh!t.. Definitly sounds like a big communication problem, whether it was you or him... And if the red is a true kandy, good luck trying to make that match right.... It can be done, but need to have lots of experience and know what you are doing..
