My new place for another gauge
Tuesday, September 11, 2007 12:01 PM
Nothing big, just decided to make this gauge holder for my steering column. Ive been bored since I have nothing to do now besides waiting on my freaking HpTuner credits to come in grrr..

Anyway, Just 3 pics, I have progress pics for those interested I could post up.. Ill probably add a fuel pressure gauge here. That A/F gauge is just in there for mockup.. This was my first ever fiberglass project btw

C&C welcome

Thanks guys..

As far as the mounting, it really doesnt hide nothing.. Not a thing to just lean up and see what my tach is idling at It only hides the high side of my MPH, I wont be spending much time on that side of the numbers anyway

That looks good. I woould have painted the housing black though.

I want to put my boost gauge there. Did any company make a top that was molded for a gauge there? I could have sworn you used to be able to buy a replacement top that was made to fit a gauge, but I have no idea where I could buy one. If anyone has one for sale or is willing to make me one PM me.

Thanks Wade.. Ive never seen something like this offered for the Jbody, but I think Ive seen someone make one a while back on here.. I actually thought about buying a professional made one from another vehicle from Jegs and just cutting the bottom half off of that and somehow try to mold in how it sits on our steering column now.. But obviously went a different route

since when do you have to go faster than 90? except at a track when the give you your speed anyways. and for the tac, he has an auto. that doesnt matter a whole lot. looks real good. nice work

I think I would have put the boost gauge there, but looks good anyway.

Lol Exactly, thats what I was trying to say in my first post haha..

Skunk v.2K4-That gauge there now was just for Mock up, I think Ill be putting my Fuel pressure gauge there once I move all my gauges around over the winter.. Left A pillar is going to be AEM WB, Boost, Oil pressure. On my radio\vent bezel are going to have Trans temp, and volt meter..

thats where I have my boost gauge on my car

Looks good! I was thinking of contacting autometer, or any other pod place, and see if they could use mine to make ABS ones.....
