Hello fellow JBO'ers
I'm pretty new here and just thought i would get some constructive criticism here.
I bought this kit a while back and I realized I would never have the money to get it put on. So I decided to learn how to do it myself. After getting some sit down sessions with my cousin who's a professional auto body repair / painter, I felt it was time to give it a shot. [quick note for any other first timers..please please do your research, it's definitely not as easy as it might "seem"]
Now before i get started..theres a few things you should know. The Front bumper fits..eh.."ok" i guess. The back bumper is horrible and don't even get me started on the side skirts(scrapped em btw)
I'm a
complete novice at body work and this is my first project. So be Gentle.
Up first is a few "Before" Pics..before I started the initial sanding and prep.

"Money Shot" aka Facial
Rear End
Next we have some pictures from the other night at Eternal's house.
Back Area *You can sorta see my dash i FG'd as well..ill post another down below.*
Side View of the Rear..Had some holes in the rear bumper I Had to patch up
My dash Piece It needs a little bit more work. (Yellow Primer..not PAINT)
^ ^ ^ Im sure you can guess where everything will be going on there.
Insert Shameless Name-Plug
Side Notes part Deux.
I know most of you are thinking..That doesn't look very smooth, or something to that sort.. But most of the pictures we taken either when the bondo was hardening, or when my hand started cramping or I needed a break.
In one of the top pictures you can see that some Asshat backed into my passenger side fender/bumper at work and never told me..so yes, its a little bulged
for now
Thanks to JBO member Eternal (who happens to by my best friend in RL) for letting me use his backyard and get his grass all white and powdery
Never EVER buy a body kit from Ebay..unless your wanting to blow money and learn how to do a @!#$ ton of body work yourself...good day! :p
Coming along real good man. Keep at it!!
-also-
I see a doodle on your quarter panel......
aww...wheres the love? No flames or bashing yet? I was expecting it to be quite instant
but seriously..no one has
ANYTHING to say?
My feelings are hurt
looks good for the most part. i, for one, and definetly respect the DIY work. the only thing that really stands out is the passenger fender. why is buckle so?

I'm not a huge fan of that body kit but I think you're doing pretty well for being a novice.
Stick with it.

Thanks for the comments guys
As for the fender...I'm planning on either modifying a pair of junk yard fenders or maybe just purchasing some different kind of fenders. I haven't really decided on anything just yet. Any suggestions?
one last /bump before i get off work today.
Dont stress over the rear bumper too much. My dad spent a good week or two trying to get the Evo rear to fit properly and even with his 45 years experience as a body man/perfectionist, it will never fit perfectly. He had to crack it in a few spots to get it to fit.
Keep up the good work!!
Looks pretty good so far. Definately props on doing it yourself.

it's looking real good accually!! that dash piece looks pretty good as well kinda looks funny to me as where i shaved my cigerette lighter off and opened up the vent holes and molded in a dvd player and a screen in where the double din cd player went!!! also i'm wondering u gonna paint that piece yellow or red??? i think red will look better but that's just my opinion!! keep the pics comming interested to see how it turns out!!
