Sunfire Projector Project

as most anyone knows there isnt really a aftermarket for sunfire projection headlights. so ive started to make my own.

this is what im aiming for when im finished except, single beam not dual, or else it will have a clear lens over it instead! havnt fully decided yet

now onto the pics

duct tape the inside of the lens to make a mold of it.

need some warm weather to start some fiberglassing.

mock-up, not mounted to the housing, just wanted to get a general idea of where it needed to be.

screwed in, ready for aiming

these are test lens's like mentioned. i will be sealing the gap at the back up, but if it causes problems i will get another set and redo it anyways.

didnt like the projector housing itself being silver in a black headlight housing, so i painted it black to match,

1st attempt at this, not scared to screw it up, its the only way to figure it out, once i do i will most likely put them in a housing thats not as beat up!

Crap, hit submit too early

What kind of new projector light did you use? Is it from another car or something?

Looks pretty awesome. lol at the hungover comment. painting the projector black to match the housing was a good move. That definitly made it look a lot more professional.

it didnt get hot enough to melt anything, but it does get slightly warm, still able to touch the back of the projector so its not hot enough to melt the plastic

Thank god you're doing it properly with projectors, instead of those retards who just slap HID bulbs in place of their stock ones. I want to kill those people.

Looking good. I like the idea of a clear lens over it.

Also, what about a round turn signal toward the inside? That with a shroud molded to fill the housing, then a clear lens over it would look sweet.

how was the fitting on the back side with the socket hooked up

everything fit pretty nice, it don't stick out any further than the mounting peice on the back, so it don't hit the rad support.
