Finally... I got myself a sunroof, lol.
Sunday, February 10, 2008 9:22 PM
Yeah, I finally went out and got myself a sunroof installed this past Friday. I have been wanting one for a long time since my Cav didn't come with one. Its a manual pop-up sunroof with two height adjustments and it's also removable. I got a great deal on it too. $275 installed . Also, I'm not worried about it leaking since I know someone will say something about aftermarket sunroofs leaking. The guy who installed it stands 100% behind his work and I have a 3 year warranty with it as well.. so yeah. Here is some pics.

Thanks for looking.

I got the same one installed into my car, now i am regretting not getting an automatic opening one. Mine never leaked tho, yet when it was really cold one of the interior trim flashings like to start coming off. Just had to pop it back into place.

if you like it thats what matters. ive never been a fan of that type myself....it just screams "80s!" to me. but it at least looks like a professional install and not a hack job.

coming back in 2008...

Well I like mine. Im very pleased with it.

Yeah, I heard those stories too, but its all a matter of taking that chance I guess. I'm not worried about it.

Same thing I was thinking before I got it done. With it being a manual, there is less parts to break.

Yeah I see what you mean. Pop-up sunroofs been out for a very long time and they were available in the 80's, but I like it and it is a very clean install. Even the relocated dome light was well done. I was more worried about the dome light then the actual sunroof, lol.

I'm running 225/35/20. This size is actually 5 points over the recommended 30 series. I had 225/30/20's at first, but I hated the way they felt on the road. These tires feel much much better and I don't rub either.

Lookin good man.. But I would of moved the dome light in back of the sunroof instead of the front like you have it.. Nonetheless, looks good man.

Thats what I originally wanted, but the installer said it would make things hard for him. I didn't want to have the man struggling trying to make it work so I went with the front instead.

I like the fact that the guy with CHROME 20s didn't want a little badge because it would have been to much bling!

I really hope you have plans for some sort of kit either stock or aftermarket, because those wheels look retarded with out any thing else done to the car. To me to have 20s on a sport compact it has to be pretty well done up for show. Not stock.

Anyways thats just my opinion, sunroof looks good! I will never owN another car without one!
