you could scoot those amps closers to the back seat and gain about 2-3 inches. the pieced together box looks hideous.

Mount the amps to the back of the seat.

remake the box and mount the amps to the seat or the back of the box.

probably not the back of the box, but i have mine on the back of my seat. works out pretty nifty.

Back of the box FTW. Your setup looks nice though. You need carpet on the box.

Sorry but Car Audio 101: NEVER mount amps to the back of the box. That is a theifs dream catch right there. Couldn't make it any easier.

I could imagine, but they would get it either way even if the amps are not on the box.

or thats why you take measures for your stuff to not get jacked.

Re: My Phoenix Gold Rsdc setup in 2001 sunfire.

yeah exactly, but you also gotta consider if it is going to happen, and you cut their time in half, its that much more likely you lose everything. it's just as easy to mount them to the seat as it is to mount them to the box.

and sure you can "take measures to make sure your stuff doesnt get jacked" but does that realy prevent it from happening? Why don't you tell us how YOU prevent anyone from ever stealing your audio...parts...entire car....

@!#$ ive had my stero and the whole sha-bang stolen and ive had my whole car stolen twice once at gun point then i finally decided to at least get an alarm and put a ignition cut off on there. and never had anymore problems since. granted i know it could have possibly happened again but very less likely. and i love my motion sensor on my alarm. lets me know before you touch the car.

and on top of jacking the thread, your audio equipment is beyond sub par there guy... I hate to be a jackass, but you post up peak power numbers to show off like any 16 year old ricer at his high school parking lot. Mofo's can get decently loud if setup right, but sound like smashed ass hole. they will NEVER handle 2600w rms each, nor will that amp EVER put out 5500 watts RMS... those caps are useless, end of story on that one..... and btw, i would LOVE to see your stock electrical system handle a stereo system putting out 6500watts RMS.... you're a tool, go back to your high school friends and try to impress them WITHOUT JACKING SOMEONE ELSES THREAD.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

but once again sorry J D i just kinda got a account on here and yeah i must say i am proud of my system and i might be a little over happy, but i still had no intentions of stealing the thread

oh and just ONE more thing (JLaudiocavalier) you totally get what ever crawled up your 48 year old ass and pull it out ...damn

Start your own thread about your 'system.' Until then, have fun being that douche in HS.

Sigh.... I had a guy tell me his 2000w (each) 10" Pioneer subs would blow me away.....

Not that a 50w x 2 can't put out MaSsIvE BaSs!1!1!...

Put your penis away guys.

Back to topic:

That box is, well, special. Is it sealed? How did you put it together?

I would mount the amp to the back of the seat, slide the subs back (if they fit) to give a little more room for them to strut their stuff! Do you have deadening in there (your trunk that is)?
