i love the idea of taking the hood off, it shows the engine bay detail that much more.
i love the painted to match the car display poles, this was a great idea.

yea i agree... taking the hood off does allow more light to show of all the detail in the engine bay.... but it does also hide the painting on the underside of the hood....
what if you found a way to display the hood mounted sideways? so that people could easily see both sides of the hood?? that could be sweet!

aaron yeah i got a couple shots. just internet was crapping out last night so i only got a couple pics uploaded. i'll probalby add more pics to this post tonight.
silver z. the stands got packed when they were doing the lowrider hopping, half the floor was show cars the other half was hydraulic hoppers. so your sitting on the floor looking up at this filled stadium. kinda was a weird feeling lol.
everyone else. i decided to pull the hood to give them a good shot of the graphics on the hood itself. whenever ive taken pictures of cars at shows ive never liked when the hood was up because ive always felt it kinda blocks the car and kills the flow of a car. with the hood off i can show off the hood, the engine bay and still give people a clean look at the car. do hate that with it as it is i can't show off both sides of the hood. actually started thinking about some type of setup where the hood could be on a small turntable to slowly spin around, thought that would be cool. but also wouldnt be cheap or easy to make lol.
oh and i took first place

knew you would... i think taking of the hood was a kick ass idea... just wasnt sure the logic behind it... but your totally right
sure it would, just get an old record player, add more power to it and fabricate something the hood could sit on
- although if you wanna show off the underside of the hood....i dunno

and yes they are stock headlights. and i hope to get some new ones when i get some free cash and the supply becomes reliable again
