so im drivin down the highway, taking the mrs. to work....zipping along , at about 110 km- 115km
and i hear something hissing...so im slowing down and get to about 100km/hr and i hear a big boom,
and the car pretty well looses all contol....at this moment i have no idea what happened untill jennifer, (the mrs)
says calmly, oh... theres the tire.....
....pull over to the side of the road.....which was like fighting a friggin bear...
get out and sure enough.....no tire.....the rim was still on it but definatly no good....and not to mention when the tire
came off it proceeded to tear the inner fender out, and my passengers sideskirt off.....to make things even better
its 4:30 - 5:00 am in the dark, on the side of the road, at about -10 celcius.
i have a few pics from my phone when it lightened up...so here they are....sorry for the quality but meh..
.i thought i had one of the side skirtless sidebut i dont sorry.... i guess you can use your imagination
....although luckily they were my winter tires....and not my summer rims....but still.....ugh........what a pi$$off.....
Why were you going that fast?

KM not MPH so about 60 mph?
Still that sucks. What were the tires? Firestone?
new tires if so id say bad mounting job. or old tires id say dry rot got u.
That really sucks changing the tire in the dark and -10c plus windy in Canadian's weather!
@!#$ happens!
holy shat! good thing you guys are ok that looks like that would have sucked
well as the looks of the rims you have hit some pretty big pot holes and most likely resulted in some impact bubbles on the tire most likely which is a bubble in the side wall which will eventually blow out. im from chicago and work at a tire shop. i see these problems all day long

Dude yellow i live in Chicago as well and drive down 88, 294, and 90 everyday for work. I'm so worried about blowing a tire because its gonna be a bitch getting the spare out due to my sub enclosure in the back. One of these days I may be giving you and your shop a call, hope not tho!
