Got the BREMBO brakes on the Z
Wednesday, March 12, 2008 4:38 PM
Finally decide to spend a night setting up the brakes for the Z.

The parts-
13" rotors (2002 Cobra GT)
EBC red stuff pads (2002 viper)
BREMBO 4 piston calipers
N-body spindles (modified)
Custom brackets

The pics

Comments and concerns welcome as always

It's not really that complicated, if you can fabricate you can likely figure it out- getting the calipers on the other hand is a different story

Oh I already know how you most likely did it, but due to the fact that there's about 4 or so different ways of doing it, im curious to see how YOU did it.

Yes, the rears will be done when i start setting up the rear suspension- same parts except the spindles

nice! same size as the fronts? you should have the rotors coated or painted as well to inhibit brownish rust on them after the some wear,

I hope by same parts, you meant same style caliper with smaller pistons.

What sizes are you running and do you plan on any MC mods?

Its still an ongoing project, thus no axles and dirty wheels. By the same parts in the rear i mean all the same parts the same size- there are proportioning valves to make up for any odd brake bias there may be. Running a 2nd gen master for now but am counting on upgrading that after i drive it- will have to see how the pedal feels

Actually they run the same pattern as the N-body

I HIGHLY suggest using smaller piston calipers rather than trying to do that with proportioning valves alone, and use a combo of both.

And almost same bolt pattern

Thanks for the input, curious on reasoning?
Do bear in mind this car will not be used at the track and there is enough extra weight (stereo, air ride accesories) and tire grip (wide tires) going in the rear that there will be a certain amount of balance- if it is a safety issue that i am missing i will be sure to correct it.
