Hey guys I've been on the org for a few years now. Last year I started to become more involved once I got my Sunfire GT. I never posted pictures of my car on here except in the regional forums. So here ya go!
Mods done to the car:
AEM Intake
TTR Lower Mount
RKSport Upper Insert
TTR Tranny Poly Inserts
Bill and Stans Header and High Flow Cat
Custom 2.5" Piping/Resonator
Magnaflow Muffler
Fidanza Flywheel
Spec Stage 2 Clutch
2.2 Coil Swap
I don't really have too much more for plans on this car due to most of my money going to college. Thinking about getting in on some lighter pullies, but other than that there isn't too much in the works as of right now.
Last year I ran a 15.47 @ 88.25 with just the intake and motor mounts. Hopefully this spring I will be able to get into the mid to high 14's with what I have done now. What do you guys think?
Very nice.
I would definately suggest lowering it though.
looks like junk id keep it outta rock falls if i were u
I like the tires. Muffler tip is a little big for my taste. could use a drop! (pro-kit), but otherwise it's real clean. nice car
I wouldn't get your hopes up with the 14's, but you never know.

Yeah lowering is a deffinate possibility of happening in the near future.

You are just scared that I will be able to keep up with you this year

Why do you doubt this? I think there is a very good possibility this can be accomplished. I ran a 15.47 before the exhaust and clutch. I would think I am running at least 10 more whp and ft./lbs. I think there is a very good possiblity. Maybe not mid 14's, but at least high 14's

Thanks! The 2.2 swap was super easy. That location was the only real spot I could put them without fabbing up a mount on the shock tower or where ever.
Exhaust and clutch isn't going to net you a half second. Sorry. I won't bicker with you online about it, go to the track and find out.
My '01 ran a 15.3 with just an intake and exhaust, GM S/C and alcohol injection later it only ran a 14.7. Not everyone's results are the same. Quick question though, the 15.4...did you run that consistantly?
Car looks nice though, I always liked that older style front bumper on the 'fires.
i want a GT bumper really bad but cant seem to find one in my area, probably cuz i haven't looked hard enough. I can also relate to not being able to mod due to college! oh well, looks nice keep on it.

Yeah I'm not gonna argue either, it aint worth it. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on that. That day was my first time at the track. I started the day off running 15.7's with 2.4 60' times. At the end of the day I ran 5 passes between 15.55 and the 15.47 with 2.2 60' times. So I was fairly consistant at the end of the day.
You are not going to run 14's as your car sits now. You would be lucky to shave a 10th of a second of your 1/4 mile time. Maybe if you run drag radials or remove alot of your interior ect. But what fun is that. Don't you want to know what it would run the way it sits everyday? I like the coil swap location though.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
IF big IF you can get those 60's down i think you MIGHT be able to sqeeze a 14.99, but you really do need to get it tuned now.
it's not the speed of these cars I like it's the handling. I never bought my cars to make them 1/4 mile dragsters

joe im sorry u ran a 14.7 with the supercharger, thats the m45 for ya, some have the luck of the irish with it and some cant seem to break outta the 15's with it.
we await the track opening, now just get the damn snow outta here. im hoping matt wont be too far behind me, his near stock times at the track were very impressive, now i hope his new times follow.
also look at my profile and mod list and compare to his, they are similar enough that i dont see a big red flag in what would stop him in hitting 14's. and minus my hptuners outta my mod list cuz there still has been no tuning done cuz my wideband isnt in yet. maybe if need be he toss a set of secret cams in, i know for sure i will have a set comin out my motor in exchange for HO's goin in and we could always find him a set at the yard and slap them in in a few hrs.
but my slips go as
R/T ... .538
60' ... 2.416
330 ... 6.394
1/8 ... 9.682
MPH ... 75.68
1000 ... 12.491
1/4 ... 14.875
MPH ... 93.57
R/T ... .274
60' ... 2.281
330 ... 6.237
1/8 ... 9.524
MPH ... 75.66
1000 ... 12.344
1/4 ... 14.741
MPH ... 92.09
maybe if i become a man and learn how to launch my car id get something better than my crap times.
now like ive always told matt, if he would like to trade me his bill and stans stuff straight up for my pacesetter stuff he will be just fine, ive always knew the bill and stans was garbage and i could only be a true friend and take it off his hands, ya know kinda like real friends dont let friends drive drunk. real friends dont let friends suffer with bill and stans
late april isnt too far away matt, rock falls awaits
Car looks real good. I think you'll be runing 14's this year. Nice coil swap hit me up when u get back into town.
Haha thanks Gary for the support and no I will NEVER give you my crappy Bill and Stan's stuff.
About the M45, there was a car a the last time I was there that had the M45 + other mods, and I was beating him all day! So either says he was a bad driver, or the M45 isn't really that great...
If you go an look at everyone that is running 15.0's to high 14's has the very close to the same parts I do. So I guess we will find out in a couple weeks.
