auto turbo return line placement picture request

So my return line was leaking like FUG after a couple of days worth of driving. So I pulled the pan and sure enough the I managed to jb weld over a painted pan...... go ahed laugh.........ok done?...... so now that I have it off, I want to do it right. I even went out and grabed a new pan. I even went and bought a bulkhead fitting,
But of course there are fitment issues. its the same issue I had when I did it the first time. my orignal return was at the top of the pan above the oil drain plug. the problem is that with an L fitting the bung hits the trans housing. the only way I can get it close enough is to push the fitting in farther which defeats the purpose of the bulkhead.

Im really not worried about getting it to work, I can always default back to my old return line. I really just want the fitting to work, Im just tired of half assing then cleaning up my mistakes when they fail. Im thinking Im gonna have to do a mixture of both.

any who I just wanted to see what my eco auto breathren have done.

Ill have to search for pictures of mine.. My bulkhead fitting is on the right side of the pancake coolant tube on my 2.4, above the drain plug.. Pretty much closest to the edge of the pan as you can get.
