Looking for J's that sit on 20's
Post up some pictures... Overall Im looking at stances and how they sit while lowered.
Mostly... if you're on bag's I will bow to your contribution.
My diggy kit from Jason at A+ is on its way... and Im way to excited to install it... If you're on 20's you definitly need to be bagged, I now know this! lol

whats the point of having tuner style wheels that large on a cavalier? IMO the tuner style wheels give off a more 'look at me im doing this for performance' aspect, but theres no way those huge, heavy rims could possibly be helping in performance.
idk, its just my opinion and ive always wondered....
I don't look for performance on this car.... just a custom look, and these rims are lighter than my 18's that I use to have.
I have a 03 F-150 Lightning to play with for performance.

Whats the point of posting if your gonna knock his style?
If your buying wheels for "look at me im doing this to be ________" then your going about it all wrong.
I like the wheels. They fit the car nicely. Personally they look like a mini truck wheel more than they do a tuner wheel. Which is A OK with me!

whats the point of doing anything to a cavalier, right? how much performance do you think youre getting out of your c/f hood or trunk? one layer of carbon over a few layers of glass might drop you a few pounds, but thats what, 1/1000th of a second off your quarter times? please...!
just let the man do what he wants instead of constantly bitching to the performance people that they arent "show" enough or that the show people arent "performance" enough

you know what, i did have a big reply all nice n neatly posted for all of you guys that had some words about my thoughts. but for the sake of not killing this thread i have refrained from it. i will just say that some of you really have your heads up your asses.

20's on a J? I've seen this over and over on this site and ask myself "Why the hell would you put something that large and obnoxious on a J-body for chirst sakes?"
To each their own, but imo, waste of time and money, just do 18's they are cheaper and pretty much give you the same look.

I'm debating on 20's after i put my Cav on air. May have to go with 19's or even 18's. 20's look great though, and I love the look of that!

I didn't say there was a problem, only stated that 20's on a J IN MY OPINION, just don't look right. If he digs go for it, just to me they look kinda outta place on a car that really doesn't have that much "oooo ahhhhh" appeal to it. I'll keep my 17's but then again I've got a different objective w/ my car than he does w/ his.

Eh don't rag on Brad (Zyaaa)...
All he really meant to say was he doesn't see why you'd put a Tuner Style rim (meant to be small) on a car at the size of 20"... defeats the purpose of it. And he's right in a sense... and he's entitled to that opinion.
The thing is... for as much as it's a bit of a waste at 20"... anything you can do to lighten a 20" rim with all that rotating mass is a good thing, esp on stock brakes and wheel bearings. If you can get it down to the weight of a 17 or an 18... that's a huge benefit to longevity and stopping distance, as well as acceleration and MPG.
I'm not a fan of 20's myself... not on a J-body... but a few of you guys really pull the look off well. (Airride required of course lol).

I understand that a tuner style rim is meant to be small, but the op liked these rims and wanted 20s
He really did not have much of a choice with this rim they only come in 20s nothing bigger nothing smaller, the only chose
he would have had was the black with chrome lip like he has, or all chrome
Obviously those who put 20's on their car, are not doing it for performance purposes. It's obviously just for looks. That's why i want to do it.

I figured this would turn into a debating match.... most posts do now a days anyway.
But to all of you who are reading this post that actually want to "up-grade" to 20"... go right on a head... I love my 20's... and it's mind blowing knowing I actually built what I wanted.
Acceleration loss? meh! I dont care... its a stock engine... I'll go drive my Ford Lightning if I want to smoke tires.
Braking loss? meh! I dont care... its just a cruise machine
MPG loss? meh! I city drive, so I dont notice a difference
Weight gain? meh! my 18's were heavier
Waste of time and money? meh! so is putting in a turbo IMO. and these 20's were less than my old 18's.
Needs to be on Air? ABSOFREAKNLUTY!!! lol

Markus... I don't think you would regret it man... I get a lot of compliments from the old boys at the oldtymers meets... and I take those compliments to heart because they know where I'm coming from.
