this is just a thread about my 2000 z24. Its being built to be a track dedicated car for once i move out to chicago this february. stripped out the innards, swapped in the little ECO beast and got waaaaaaay to much into my suspention setup lol. onto the pictures!

old tranny (left) and the new tranny (20,000 miles, LSD, way low price)

my old 2.4 TC engine. it needs a home. $100 bucks can take it. i really want to get rid of teh sonuvabitch

2.4 header, eco exhaust manifold

new motor =]

im swapping in a bunny or 4

hoorray! i get to rewire the WHOLE car! =[

the only effective way to bypass the speed limiter (remember, just a track car. dont get your panties in a wad)

the bare essentials

you can see the rice bits back there (spoiler)

my absolute FAVORITE part of this car. the pink lips on teh rims

eco auto trans. $100 bucks with TC

got some new rubber waiting for me =] (the bottom 2)

i got into an accident with this rice kid in a saturn SC2 who claimed his car was worth $17,000. he was like "its worth 4 times your cars value!" to which i replied "um. no it isn't. its a saturn"
btw, dont ever say that.

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

I'm more concerned about the clutch pedal and shift knob, the fact that it's an automatic, and the signature to boot.

Oh, and the whole auto Eco race-car deal. Hope you have some serious plans.

You didnt do your research before starting this did you???
You did NOT have to rewire the whole car, any 2000+ J-body is a plug and play for the Ecotec swap, just swap the ENGINE harness and PCM.
If you wanted to get rid of the speed limiter, just dont plug in the VSS, simple. Or just wire in a switch to shut it off when you reach 170km/h.
Also, if this is purely a racecar, why are the stock engine mounts being used instead of urethane, and why is it being driven on the street?

Looks like fun

Though I fail to understand why you cut the wires leading to the fuel pump... when the fuel cut at 108 MPH is done by the PCM, and it's the injectors that are shut off....?
