had to swap a 3400 in my beater since the timing chain snapped...
still need to do a final clean up and swap some painted parts onto the motor but for now.....

its actualy a turbo ecotec in a 2nd gen vert with a 1st gen z24 front clip.
and yes, we did have to do a 3400 swap, we were unable to find a 3.1l with less than 200k km on it, and even at 200k km+ guys wanted as much as this 3400 cost, and the 3400 only has 83k km, its a 2003 (no intake gasket problems). its a no-brainer to do this swap at that point. for the record it goes from 140hp/180tq from the 3.1l to 180hp/210tq of the 3400. keep in mind that its factory exhaust from the cat back, it idles and sounds stock. oh and it only took a 6 evenings working on average 3 hours a night to get it done, from rolling the car in to driving it out, and that includes fabbing a front mount bracket and downpipe.
