looking good nice work there... 1 think i dont like the tan interior i know u said u were going black just make sure you get all the tan out lol other than that great job keep us posted on how it comes along
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
it all depends on what you will do with the remaining interior
(carpet etc)
If you are swapping seats and carpet etc to black I would say go with gunmetal as the other color
Dupli color makes a really good one, in spray bombs, although it is meant for rims
it works really well
is that like a black ish come kinda look......if so i think i have my second color
2000 z24 Cavalier
...
it is like a really dark silver
yes i know this page has a bunch of junk on it,
but here is the link to my cardomain
anything painted there is done with Gunmetal silver
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3025069/3
another question will i have to fiberglass my whole door or can i just do the speaker pod and use bondo fiber for the rest?
2000 z24 Cavalier
well i'm no pro
but I would say that as long as you make it smooth flowing from the speaker pod into the nearby area of the door panel
you should be good
if you are wanting a completely smooth look, all you have to do is sand the panel
and the 'leather' effect/look whatever you want to call it, will go away.
So are you going to go with my gunmetal silver???
Oh and here are some links for you to check out, about overhauling the interior:
Here is a link for How to fiberglass etc
it should answer most of your other questions
http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=45&i=74970&t=74970
As for the painting itself
here is the other how to
http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=45&i=70341&t=70341
make sure the door closes with the pod on the panel.
It gets REALLY close when you mount them there
i actually thought of the same idea with the gauges in the dash pad. i was wanting 3 instead of 2. looking for some other ideas 2 put gauges since i wanna keep my vents
na madness has a really nice flow to his gauges but i believe he deleted the vents but anyway you could look to get a idea
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
I also made a dual pod just like that.
But its removable and just Velcros down.
as for the second color i'm either going to use gun metal or go all black with a bit of air brushing..... oh and i will be test fitting everything tomorrow
.... and thanks for the info by's

Gun metal and black equals gorgeous
So you never did answer the question, what will you be doing with the rest of the interior?
Painting the rear panels, new seats... What?
rear pannels will be painted black and i might put some speakers in them. Headliner is gonna be died black and the carpet will be changed to black too. And i might jsut try and get some black seat covers for the time being untill i can afford the rest( i want to get a couple of racing seats and a wheel, but i have no idea what to do with that hidious back seat)......
oh and the fiberglassing begins tomorrow hopefully if all goes well

Well make sure you are well read through the How to, and go for it
Take your time and don't use too much Fiberglass, as It is a pain in thee a$$ to sand.
Definitely go with the Gun metal too.
I'm swapping out my buggered up charcoal interior I modded for a tan interior.. I love clean tan interiors.. classy.. everyone has black in their cars.
The work your doing is nice and simple.. should look good.. you sure you wanna black out your interior like everyone else tho?
