Mah Sunfire progress thread.
Saturday, March 07, 2009 11:09 PM
Yeeeeeeeeeeeah so i'll be posting some pictures as I move forward with my plan to get a reliable mid 200hp sunfire build, along with being good all around in the other deptartments.

History: I had bought this car with 81000km on it last spring. It was female driven from before so probabaly wasn't ridden to hard. Soon as I took over i've been getting all maintenance done before what GM recomends, synthetic oil alnd all that jazz. I don't really drive it hard but occasionally I do. Currently has 150000km+ because I drive a lot for work purpose. And will test to see how long this internally stock motor will hold up with the mods that I'll be doing.

Anyway here's a few pics. Feel free to leave suggestions or critizism.

X2, very odd, but a nice ride nonetheless. That valve cover needs a little tlc tho.

Thanks for the comments.

I'm a bit nervous cleaning my engine bay when spring comes. I've heard horror stories of cars not starting back up after a wash

Oh and i'm located in Collingwood, Ontario. That picture was taken up top of Blue Mountain.

My cousin hoses down his LS1 quite a bit during the summer and he never has a problem.

Just make sure you cover up any electrical stuff i.e. alternator, etc. You techincally don't have to spray the engine down. I used to wipe down things with a wet towel, than use Armor All on the hoses, polish on the valve cover, etc.

Uhm I think it was right before christmas.

I just checked out your links and the car looks mean. Must sound nice with the v6. PS: Where did you get your tune from? I'd love to switch over to a good tune rather then the reflash sometime this summer.

Here's a few more recent one's. Currently has 169k. A used tranny is going in soon along with my spec stage 2 clutch. And once I recieve my mounts I have dspecs+porkit going in. Can't wait for the drop No engine shots though. Still dirty as @!#$. And I don't yet have my AEM CAI on yet...embarassing I know.
