So partially to make clearance for my new rims, and partially because I wanted bags in the rear anyway, I got my new bags in today and started working on my brackets.
The idea for this came from -ESB- to start then Yellow2200 did it. Now my turn. I am looking into struts that will alow a full drop without blowing, Any ideas? they need around 6" of stroke.
For tires I decided on 215/35/19 Nanakang NSII, they are pretty affordable, have a great rating, No lip protection(need none because of clearance) and they said a 215 will be fine on my 19x8.5 as long as I maintain proper inflation. I also realised the actual outer rim lip measures out 9.5" Wide lol (The bead is 8.5" wide)
If Anyone is interested in my old AIM cylinders and brackets let me know, Ill let em go cheap.
Amazingly took about 4 hours to get this all figured out. I will finish installing them tomorrow.
These are just the Plates I finished trimming to fit and Drilled the bolt holes. I didnt have a bit big enough for the Port so I will Cut that out tomorrow.
The Plates are 1/4" Steel and they will be Welded in to the rear "axle" then Reinforced with the Bar you see below. No Flex
Part of the reason for new air, Pic is a bit wrong wheel was not tightened, actually had about 1/8" but was not worth the risk.
Also I finished rolling the rear 1/4 panels, Pics of that tomorrow!
still need rubber on them rims there.

Its was easy and worked Flawlessly. I used my Stock Wheels and slammed the car all the way.
wheels are gonna look amazing... i'm not a fan of the stretched tires that are gonna be wrapping them though.

Bags are DONE! Going to paint everything whenever I go to put the wheels on, I didn't have any spray with me.
LOVE them, However I need struts ASAP, these things are BOUNCY!

if i was doing this i would redo that set up. get a tire on the rim put it on and base your set up on where the arm sits with the tire bottomed out, i know for a fact me personally i would brake that brass fitting off the first weekend i would drag it. also look into making the base plates big-er and plating the upper support

How in the hell would you manage to break off the brass fitting?!?! Its 8 if not 10" from the ground at all times?!?!?
As far as the size of the plates, They are more than enough. Why would you brace the top anymore? Are you aware of the thickness of the steel in the unibody rails? Much thicker than the body panels.
Not sure how you would break that fitting off....
Oh yea, Everything was setup so that the Tires Do bottom out. The Bags sit fully collapsed + Centered when the car is resting on the tires.
Yea I'm not crazy about how the line is ran to the bottom of the bag like that. Nice setup though. How long did it take to put it all in?
I dont like it too much either, although It should work fine. I may go ahead and Run Steel braid there too.
Took about 4-5 Hours to get everything fabbed up, welded in, and bolted up. Pain in the Arse to weld up-side-down though. I wanted to Pull the Rear "axle" out and weld it on the table but I didn't want to have to disconnect the E-Brake cable and re-bleed the rear brakes.
Not gonna lie the way you rolled the quarters does look like it worked better than the fender roller that joe and i purchased good work
