About an hour into my trip, just outside of Lansing, I see this flashing red light pull up next to me. Somebody wasn't happy with my tinting. So, I start to pull over...
The second my car hits the side of the road , I hear "BOOM"...
A nail in my back passenger tire. Not a very pleasant sight! BUT it's not over yet...
THE NAIL WENT THROUGH MY DAMN RIM!!! Well, long story short I can't exactly drive it to Ohio tonight. Luckily, the shop I get all my parts from can get me a new rim/tire tomorrow morning (from a warehouse about 20 minutes from the bash...) so I will at least be on the road tomorrow. But for now, this is how my car gets around...
At least the state officer was nice enough to let me off without anything on the tint (or the lack of registration & insurance because my dumbass left it at home!). So, one more night at home then off to the bash...again...

x2. I lost a wheel a week ago. lol
Thats a bummer man, but at least you will be able to get it back on the road tomorrow. On the plus side, your car still looks sexy, even on a tow truck, haha

haha thanks. the rim/tire comes in @ noon about 10 minutes from here. I have to pick it up and take it to the car (which is parked @ a hotel about 45 minutes from my house), then change it in the parking lot before I can go. I would've towed it home, but Progressive decided to drop my roadside coverage when I pulled the car off storage. I didn't really want to pay $400 to tow it home, so I dropped it about halfway home. Only $140 that way. Here's to leaving for Ohio at 3 tomorrow!

)

If you're truly smart, you won't waste the money. It really is an investment that you'll never get any tangible return on. Experiences yes, smarts - usually for most guys - you, maybe not.

no one knows what the hell your talking about... lol
what do you think a car is? AN INVESTMENT. and i love the look of his car, so i said so. so if i had the money i would shoot for that look, cause its what i like.
so dont say "you" as if you know me, cause you dont kid.
learn the lesson i did.
get off the org if your gonna be a douche come on...
tan·gi·ble (tnj-bl)
adj.
1.
a. Discernible by the touch; palpable: a tangible roughness of the skin.
b. Possible to touch.
c. Possible to be treated as fact; real or concrete: tangible evidence.
2. Possible to understand or realize: the tangible benefits of the plan.
3. Law That can be valued monetarily: tangible property.
Read number 2.
so yeah, the value or utility you get from owning a car, working, cleaning and upgrading your car is a tangible return for sure man. not to mention that the upgrades are valuable in themselves.
so you said to me: "smarts - usually for most guys - you, maybe not. " and if you look at your profile it says your graduating Iowa State with a Journalism degree and you like blogging and writing. well maybe you should know the definitions of simple words for that? oh well, i guess Iowa state is not putting out the kind of grads they used to huh>?
so other than not knowing exactly what your getting at, if your just trying to pick a fight or maybe you are just a douche as i said before, play nice. i gave you no reason to be a douche man, this thread is about RKs car anyways so what does what you said have to do with that?
nothing.
your on the ground bleeding in the corner dizzy with your trainer yelling in your face...
dont be a fool...
stay down.
^^^ Are you serious, it's the internet you tool, who cares what he thinks. Good job on jacking this thread.

LMAO your kidding right? the only thing that comes out of kandahar are terrorists... geeze
RK, that must have been one HUGE nail. But luckily the cop felt bad that it was his fault that happened, and let you off...
So he didnt like the tint, but did he tell you it had to be removed? or did he just let you go without ANY type of penalty??

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.

He didn't get a chance to tell me. He told me it was illegal. But when he went to go back to his car w/ my info, I asked if I could check out the side of my car. We noticed all the rim stuff before he went back, so not even a repair ticket was issued.
And to Thomas...modding cars is NOT an investment. It's a hobby, like cavediving or snakehandling. You aren't going to get a good return on it. You will gain a lot of experience, meet new people, hell, maybe even learn a thing or two about cars, but you will lose a TON of money doing it. Thanks for the compliments on the car, but if you want to get butthurt over some internet comments, do it in someone else's thread.

All due respect rolling with tint up in Michigan on any highway put you at that risk and you knew it.
I'm so glad I don't have to roll my windows down @ every officer I see now.
