New winter wheels
Thursday, December 24, 2009 1:14 PM
Finally finished my winter wheels and got them on this week. Grand Am GT 16's with new Pirelli Winter Carving Edge snow tires on the front and used BFGoodrich Winter Slalom snow tires on the back. Should be better than my almost bald Pirelli P4's

Lovin' it man. The wheels seem to bring everything together nicely...aside from the pinstripe, I like everything about this car!

These are just for winter, so it's not like they are replacing the Z wheels. They're better than steelies and that's all I was going for.

The car was in an accident with the first owner, and the passenger side crush support was replaced, and ended up about 1/4 short. Because of that the hood ends up sitting a bit high and sticks out a bit on the passenger side. Sucks, but I can live with it.

Woops, missed those last two posts... Thanks guys

The pinstripe is under the clear, so it would cost a fortune to get rid of, I've been thinking about having it covered with a black pin stripe though.

Hahaha, indeed

Pro-kit and AGX's this spring, no point in lowering it now and turning my front lip into a plow

Did somebody say plow? I know a thing or 2 about that lol scooped up a possum and carried him for a good mile or so ... pretty gross but eh lol

New wheels look good. Are you going to keep your summer wheels the same color as before or carry on the painted wheel theme?

Haha, well the original idea was to paint the summer wheels also, but now I'm undecided, maybe I'll try gunmetal instead of black...

Either way, the Z wheels are getting Toyo T1R's this spring

^^ Go gunmetal.... or maybe bronze? Do something different.
And you'll love the prokit + AGX combo, I know I freaking love mine

Bronze would be a little too much IMO, but I'm definitely leaning towards gunmetal. Then I need to find 00-02 center caps with the red bowtie.

Excuse me Tim...
But did I, or did I not say for you to do gunmetal... yeah thought so. KTHNXBAI
