I could have sworn there was a destruction area in the forums but Meh
Sooo for those who don't know my first eco failed, Don't know why until me and my firend took it apart and i'll let you be the judge...
Soo look like the bearing on the first rob is fired to a crisp, the key broke completely of the pulley dissappeared somewhere also it broke a timing chain guide.... so onward with the destruction pics!!!
broken fly wheel bolts
shredded metal in the oil pan
sooo the new eco is in and still running alright...I also considering parting this enigne out for cash or trade for other parts

I'll take both of them if you're gonna get rid of them, I don't care, anything right now. You sell them cheap right? I mean anything will beat the tubes I'm about to buy from Lowes.

What was the nature of the failure...how did this occur? Pretty brutal to shear off not only the flywheel bolts, but also the crank pulley key!

What were you revving to? If the key way on the pulley failed "first" it could have stopped the oil pump, and taken everything else out.

Did someone ever have the crank pulley off? And when they put it back on they forgot to tighten the bolt or didn't tighten it enough?? That would allow the pulley to come loose and brake the key. But if it did lose oil pressure wouldn't the rest of the motor be junk from no oil also??
apologize my ignorance guys .. but i always wanted to know why do you guys upgrade this , whats the purpose
thanks
it mite have been a tuning issue man. U were even complaining of too much boost on a stock pulley. Just sounds weird to me it blew up already. Just my thoughts
I don't think its a tunning issue because im running the same tune on this new engine and its fine,
My friend did however remove the crank to paint it, but he said he tighten it down.
