Awsome. Nice and clean like mine. I find it too be a rare colour around me too. I removed the mouldings on mine yrs ago. Much cleaner.

I would, but at the same time, im still a student.
id rather those ratty pieces of plastic take a beating than the notoriously thin sheet metal GM used on these cars.
Mods: stickers and clear bumper signals
Not a bad start though man, my good friend has an 01 'Fire sedan in the same color. I don't know how anyone drives that 2.2 though, god damn that thing is slow. lol Keep it clean, and do you have any plans in store for it?

The 22 is just fine for me.
Im not flooring it out of the gas station, as i see all too often.
I dont care about off the line, since she will NEVER see a track. What i care about, rather, is being able to float on the highway.
Back to the mods:
There are a few under the hood that you cant really see/ dont have photos of at the moment.
Added a CAI last week, while freezing my Connecticut ass off.
windows to 5 percent all the way around.
handled the High beam/ fog deal,
did some painting under the hood to match the exterior paint ,
Although, i WILL butter my own bread, and boast that i have, (Quite possibly) the CLEANEST (not wire tucked, but legitimately CLEAN) STOCK engine bay's on the org.
(Flame away, folks)
the car is an 01, and even my local GM told me that the engine could have in NO WAY come from a car that's 10 years old.
But she did =]
Car does look pretty clean, But I don't get the whole "Eyerolling at the community" thing...
You say you have the cleanest engine bay. I bet I have you beat. Mine's mostly stock too, just an CAI, strut bar, bit of wire tucking. Mine hasn't seen water or outside weather in 3 years. I should get pics for you. She's under a cover right now out in my garage.

Some people on this org are just completely @!#$ retarded. That's all ill say.
Ive seen everything from a mockup of the fast and the furious eclipse on a cav, a plastergini, to show cars.
Its hillarious.

When it's not six degrees outside, i will.
Bah. Edit that to go back to the person that wants bay pics.
Not bad. You really need to get some clear front bumper signals to match those clear front side markers though
.
I miss my 2200 Sedan
.
Nice, subtle stuff. Keeping it clean. Except for the stickers, but to each their own.
Do I see LED's?

WHERE CAN I ATTAIN THESE?!
Ive been looking all over amazon/ebay for a set, but cant find anything
I was even so desperate as to try to switch my revers with these.
WHERE I CAN FINDS THEZ?

yes sir.
in the sidemarkers, im assuming you're talking about?
They're pretty nifty. they change color ever so slowly, but still blink red when i (Seldom) use my signals.
Matt mckenna wrote:i'd lose the hubcaps and clean the steelies up real good and roll those or even better get some rims lol
Its almost winter.
I live in Connecticut.
We get four feet of snow every winter.
Im NOT rolling on Low pros/ summer wheels with that much salt/ sand/ @!#$ on the roads.
Are you high?
I live in Eastern Quebec and we get many many 20" snowfalls and ice storms and I'm rollin 17" with a 2.3" drop! lol No excuses man!
Back on topic, your car is pretty clean. As stated above I'd remove the hubcaps and roll the steelies. Clear turn signal would look great!

go to your local menards. buy a sheet of that plastic that goes in drop in ceiling lights. remove bumper, replace amber with clear. done.
i like it. pretty clean and simple. i would like to see under hood shots, since you claim to have the "cleanest" engine bay.
alright. y'all caught me tooting my own horn.
This was taken about a month ago, before i did the CAI.
Ive spent hours cleaning under this hood.
I know i need new headers, etc, but this is by NO MEANS THE CURRENT STATE OF HOW MY ENGINE BAY LOOKS.
this was a simple cleaning before i put my intake in.
Before anyone yells at me that i need currents:
Go ahead and buy me a new camera.

Do people REALLY like strait steelies?
I cant picture them looking good in the LEAST...
steelies > hubcaps
other than that its a clean car! no future plans though other than the intake?

Im not sure, to be honest.
I dont really wanna mess with her TOO much, because i really dont know much about motors.
The bay is clean enough that i can go to meets/ shows and not be laughed at, but it's like it is.
It's a sports compact, with a small motor.
It isnt meant to go fast.
She sounds good,
she drives well.
I also dont really feel like dropping mad cash into a car that ill probably only have for another year till i graduate college.
The tints/ goofy 'JDM' stickers and summer wheels look good to me.
Paint will be happening in the near future, because ive got an AWFUL scrape on my pass. rear panel from some @!#$ that sideswiped me on the highway.
Luckily it only did THAT damage, and nothing more serious.
Found a pic from 2 years ago. I'll get new ones the winter if I decide to pull the cover off. Valve cover was sanded and sprayed gloss black, plus the header is now sprayed black

Jamie, the front bumper signals on all 1995 - 1999 Sunfire GTs were clear. These clear ones can be purchased brand new for around $60.00 a pair from
GM Parts Direct. The part number is:
#5978215. The lights are interchangeable, meaning the part number is the same for both sides.
Your engine bay is indeed pretty darn clean. I'm not a fan of the yellow painted stuff, but it's your car and all that matters is that you like it. Instead of getting a new header, you should just paint yours (I would stay with either black or silver) with some high heat engine paint. It would be much cheaper and easier than getting an aftermarket header and it would still make a huge difference in the overall appearance of the engine bay. Also, another suggestion to clean up the engine bay would be to re-locate the cruise control module (on the passenger strut tower) to under the cowl (wiper) panel. It's very easy to do and would get rid of that bulky box sticking off the strut tower. Yet another cheap, easy thing you could do would be to polish the valve cover. I always wanted to get the 2200 in my Sunfire Sedan cleaned up, but unfortunately I never got around to it before I traded it in. I'm with you on the 2200 though, it's not meant to be fast. It's a strong (reliability-wise) engine and to some people that matters more than being fast. Out of curiousity, what intake did you get for it (I'm guessing the eBay AEM knockoff one since you mentioned a CAI)?
Also, please
do not remove the wheel covers! Wheel covers
always look better than plain steelies!
