Still hood.

I've been sick of the long reach for my steering wheel so I went with NRG's quick release generation 2.5. it's 62mm thick so the wheel is exactly where I have always wanted it. No more hitting knees and a much more comfortable feel overall.

Before..

Comparo between 15mm MOMO spacer and the NRG quick release.

Bolted to the wheel.

Installed. Don't mind the dash bubbles. They will be taken care of in the next few weeks.

Last time you will see the engine bay like this. A new color combo is in the works.

And some current exterior shots!

I have a long list of new ideas and plans that I will continue to execute over the next few months. Engine bay will be updated. Body will see a body shop for rust issues and shaved items. Interior is being updated for comfort. Suspension is getting new pieces. It should be a whole new animal when done.

The engine compression checked out perfect.. So once again I won't be building a new engine for it just yet. Let's see what one more season on 15psi will do to her...

I like this.

What color did you use on the bezel? Mine is flat black due to not being able to find the right color..Is that rubberized coating under the bezel paint too?

It's actually red and it's not a joke, my steering column is Brett Michaels. Plus it covers up that ugly MOMO hub.

Mopar's Agate interior paint is a near dead on match for our graphite interiors. I did my Coverlay and bezel in this color. actually used bedliner coating for the texture. Came out amazing but over time and in the sun the paint decided to bubble up. I let the bedliner dry and cure for days before spraying the color. Coverlay has no signs of bubbling so it's not the paint itself. I think I will be giving up on the texture idea and going full smooth with the same Mopar paint. Unsure yet! I just can't stand these bubbles personally.

Different NRG hubs or different MOMO hubs? I have never seen any different sizes for the MOMO hub.

Looks very sad! I love seeing it in this stage though. It's been the same setup for a few years and I can't wait to update it.

05-09 Mustang GT leather knob. Screws directly onto B&M short throw shifter. Best knob ever!

oh and I have been working on cleaning up my Miller Performance HO manifold.

So your changing up the front and sides or just getting some stuff fixed on them? I'm intrigued Jay. I loved your look yet I can only see you making it better.

Remember those photoshops you did for me about 2 winters ago?? Finally going to execute one of those ideas since the bumper is beat from rock chips.

Side skirts came off so the body shop can do some rust repair and I will be running a more subtle side skirt. It shouldn't be hard to guess which ones.

Don't be nervous. Change is good! Still the same ole G!

I hope to come up with another idea for texture.. I really really liked how it looked before the bubbles.

I might as well make this a progress thread..
