Ive had my cav. for a short period of time now and the first mod ive done was some exhaust work. I had a ravin muffler tagged onto a 2.25 pipe that runs from the resonator down. My ? is ; it was suggested that by removing the resonator and replacing it with straight piping would increase flow, but the mechanic worried that it might cause some back pressure. He's afraid that by removing it the car might end up having engine lights come on and other issues. Anyone know anything about this, is it okay to replace it with straight piping? Or not?
i did 2 1/4" off the cat no resonator , no CEL , had done 6 months ago, on my 04
hows it sound without the resonator? Mines very melow right now, no raspyness.
