ok i know there has been posts on this but still didnt get what i need off them other post. i was wondering if i can gut the cat and reinsert the oxygen sensor back in. what would it do? i know that rk sprot makes the simulator. but if there another way of getting around the cost and be safe for the motor then im all for it. now this is just a thought. it i cant get around it then its time to call rk sport.

Speed chip on ebay = $.10 resistor from radio shack, its a scam. It doesn't work and can actually damage your engine.
Gutting your cat = Bad idea. Our cars need some back pressure to scavange exhaust gasses from other cylinders. I would recommend a high flow cat (catco cats are only like $50).

If you live in a state that has emissions tests... its a cop that thinks your car is poluting too much so they make you get tested.

Second O2 sensor is an emissions only sensor, has nothing to do with your gas mileage.

I've lived in Virginia for 13 years, 11 of those in Alexandria, where they have emissions testing. I've never, ever, ever, heard of a "smog cop."
lol, i live in Pittsburgh PA, we have smog and all that, never heard of a smog cop, my GF's father is a police officer for the city, hes never heard of one.

I'm From Canada and we have Smog Cops here. I've heard about it and know friend who have been pulled over, Checked, Given BIG tickets, then sent to thier mechanic and told they have X amount of days to fixt it aor the vehicle can't be driven and they really mean it. You have to go to the Police station and provide proof that it is done.......

Ok, so how do these "smog cops" know who to pull over? Do they pull over the people with the black smoke flying from their car? Do they drive around with little "smog meters" or something like that? And what's the difference between them and normal cops? What are the "smog cops" doing that regular cops can't do? What I'm saying is, I'm just not too sure that there are specific "smog cops" out there. Maybe it's just an everyday cop that pulls people over for having an illegal exhaust and then making him get it checked out so that he has to correct the problem. I need more information than just, "oh, a friend told me." That means nothing. Some people say cucumbers taste better pickled. Just opinions. We need facts here, people! Get with the program.
Think god i live in the backwoods of tennessee now. we dont have emissons test here, to small of a town but you never know when they could put emisson laws in effect here.
we dont have emissons if i use my parents address lol.. i also live in TN... I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over here for their car smoking even if you are in an area that does emissons. Now if you get pulled over for speeding they might say something if your car is smoking lol.. but never happened to me.

the sensor-resistor things are a complete scam. not even worth paying for.
i had one on my engine for a while, and it kept causing my engine to die every time i let it idle (like at a stop light). as soon as i took the resistor out, i was running better and faster then with it in.
its really not worth screwing up the onboard computer for an extra 2 hp (if that).
about the smog cops, I heard something about it. A guy with a tuned car stop at a red light and then another car came behind him and got close as hell from his ride, when the light turn to green, he saw some red and blue lights in his mirror. The cop car had a smog tester in the front bumper :s. Not sure but I think it was in California.....

I dont think this is how those things work. Not to mention... If it were in CA, the damn thing wouldn't stop going off.

MTO in ontario will get ya for exhaust, so i guess their smog cops
jet chips, speed chips, whatever kind of chip it is it sucks, stick with you basic bolt on part and save up for an e manage system they are well worth the money once you learn to utilize them
