I have an auto tranny, and in neutral I cannot rev passed 4k, is this normal? J/w?
And if i drop it into drive from 4k, it just sounds like it's being governed.
I know its a dumb question, but never had this happen untill I drove this car.

btw dropping it from 4k is bad.....its called a "neutral drop" and it WILL desroy your tranny.....stop doing that now

definitely normal its rev limiter set at 4,000 rpm on your car
and stop revving your engine in neutral

4000 is normal unless you are my dad who almost redlined my auto just taking off from a light. Yeah, don't rev in neutral. I am taking it easy with my engine which only has 45k on it... and its a 95.
Wait 4000 is the limiter on out engines?!!!

you should def stop reving in neurtal and yes that is normal because its an auto ur not supposed to be doin alot of reving
