Here's the thing, I installed my Pacesetter header and my Magnaflow Hi flow cat. Ok ........we ran out of time (we did it at school) and had to fix it with (I don't the word in english for that, but it's the U collar
) (ok I admit I'm a french canadian
) I will get my car to a muffler shop so they will do it right with some good weldings. Once this is done, I'll see if I have to put a resonator. (I hope I'll get back the sweet sound of my Vibrant Catback
) Cause I have leaks and I'm suspecting that some of the crappy sound come from there. I also have 2 questions : How a resonator change the car sound??? Does it get rid of sharp sounds? the 2nd question, I removed the O2 sensor after the cat (actually the new one didn't had a place to put it so...) and I was wondering why I don't have a check engine like everyone is saying???? Strange or not? Oh and by the way those who didn't installed their pacesetter header, the hard part is getting the stock crap out. Putting the new one in is easy if you have all the tools you need. I saw a difference about my car but it's raining here, so it's not a good time to test drive it
. Thanks.
the resonator takes your exhausts backfire out and limits how much sound it makes to.
that poor car, no j-body deserves to sound like a civic...
did you forget to put gasoline in it and instead dumped in some rice?
i just felt like saying that, i'm sorry i don't have any advice other than taking it to and exhaust shop, they'll fix it.
No problem
my car will be at the exhaust shop wednesday so they can weld it and I ordered a 18" resonator. And by the way I talked too soon, now I have a CEL
, it wasn't there yesterday, but it came on today. I'll get a O2 simalutor from a guy on the org
(Hope for you that yours is working if you read this
)
lol so your saying it sounds like a lawnmower????

My car sounded like crap when I installed my pacesetter too. It sounded much better one I got it welded up the next day.
