I'm new here and wanted to say whats up. I have a 2001 Cavalier Z24. Looking forward to finding out some cool stuff on this board. I also own a 1995 Thunderbird LX, and post over at www.tccoa.com. I am trying to do two projects at once by working on the cavy and the t-bird. Anyways, just wanted to say hey to all!!
Hey man good choice. Same here with my 01 z24. What color is your's? And what mods have you done/planned?

You're off to a good start, nice interior.
Two things people will say to you in your first bit here at the ORG:
-Shave your emblems
-Lose the pinstripe
Happy Modding

nice looking car. and by the way, thats not a CAI, its a WAI. Pinstripe removal would make a big difference, just be careful and peel slowly at an angle if you do it. There's a GM factory front lip available for your car as well. And if you want big mods go for rims. Good luck with everything.

Words that you can't use in modding: Finished, Perfect, Cheap.
I like the interior. There's an FAQ around here somewhere about how to remove emblems, it's a relatively simple procedure. Check the exterior forum.
I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but at least I'm a pretty color
use fishing line then goo gone w/whats left. lower her too, then all the basics will be covered that everyone will tell you to do 1st
remove side moldings
remove emblems
remove pin stripping
lower her. theres a good deal in the group purchase for Megan springs.
great new canvas to work w/good luck and enjoy!!
Remember, you don't have to do what everybody tells you tho

Thanks for all the tips......actually I peeled the pinstriping off last night.....I must admit, it looks a hell of alot better. I will be doing some more mods on her in the very near future, right now im in the middle of modifying a 99 mustang gt tranny to put in my T-bird, and its getting headers and true duals on it this weekend. So I will have to stop soaking money into the Bird, so I can start soaking it into the Cavy
. I can tell the Cavalier is going to be alot easier to work on, Many more parts are available for it. The T-Bird requires modification of parts to work on it.......be its going to be a beast when Im done with it. Just what I have seen online, parts are alot cheaper too, for the cav. Will a 3800 V6 fit in it??
I think it will. I know that raven has done the GTP swap, which is pretty wiggy.
