aem intake questions

questions about the aem cai for the 2200 OHV.....

it comes directly out of the throttle body and into the fender well right?

does it have a nipple so i can hook up the tube for the valve cover breather? or do is there no nipple on the intake and i have to use a breather filter?

does it have a bung/grommet for the IAT?

is there a bracket that connects to the strut tower?

and who sells it? i looked through the performance faq, and dont remember seeing the sellers listed as having one for the 2200.

im not a newb, but my current intake is home made, and i want to get a blue intake to clean up the engine bay a bit. so while i know about intakes, i dont know specs on the intakes on the market. thanks for the help!

I don't mind people using my pics. As long as they're helping someone out

Maybe this picture can help you out a little more.........You can see the IAT plugged into the back.

still don't see it, but ill take your word for it.

is that the vibrant strut bar? ive been told that the vibrant bar doesnt require that you move the ecu w/ the ecotec, and my ecu is in the same place as the eco's. how is the clearance w/ the strut bar and the intake? hear any rattling from them? and whered ya get the intake and how much did you pay? thanks a million!

Yes that's the Vibrant strut bar. The clearence is kind of close. They do rattle against one another when driving in the range of 2k - 2.5k rpm. It doesn't rattle at any other engine speed. I have put something in between the two to stop them from rattling because it is quite annoying (not to mention the intake is getting damaged from banging against the strut bar).

I got my intake directly from AEM because I was one of 2 cavy's that helped in the production of this intake. So they gave it to me for the use of my car. I know that doesn't help you much.
