i am a real newbie at driveing a manual i can get in the car and go its just i can't do the hills yet lol. any info on from how to start to finnish a hill?
Staying in a lower gear might help you. The lower the gear, usually the stronger.

find your engagement point...the spot where the clutch and the accelerator meet...if you find that you can be on a hill and just hold them in one position and not move...then more gas...nice steady movements with the feet...don't be scared...the roll isn't too bad...and yes i'm ... alot
Driving a manual is something you really need to learn on your own, sure people can give you the basics of it. The basics are the foundation of learning on your own. The first manual I drove was a 99 Mustang, it was hard. I found out people try to teach you how to drive one is even harder than just learing for yourself. Once you have the basics, just drive it, it will come naturally eventually. Didn't mean to ramble, but thats how I learned

just practice. go to an empty area w/ a sloped road or so. i say start out on small slopes first and work your way up. its just something you have to get a feel for. i know when i drove my buddys integra, i had a hard time at first because i was use to where my car lets out and not his so it took a few lights for me to adjust.
Do what Grillrd said. Hold your brake while releasing the clutch until you feel it start to engage 1st. Then quickly but smoothly release the brake give it some gas and go. It took me lots of practice to get this down when I was first learning and YES you WILL stall it and you WILL stall it in traffic. So I wouldnt worry about it to much.

You're in PA best bet is to go to a empty parking lot that is on a slight hill and just practice. Once you get going on a hill its just like driving on a flat. Nothing to really finish.

I found myself having to learn this on my own when I got stuck at a red light on a very very steep hill. I was nervous because there were cars all behind me, but I just did it as fast as I could without thinking... I shot out of that light like a cannon. You'll get the hang, it's not as bad as it seems.

on hills stay in the lower gears like 2nd or 3rd. i learned to drive stick on my own. when i first started driving stick my dad stuck me in the car all by myself and told me to go to the store or something.
Here's what I've told the people I've taught. Think of it as you're driving an auto and rev it up to like 2 grand and hold it there. Then, slowly let up on the clutch until you start moving and be giving it a bit more gas. Once you get that down, just work your way down from reving it up that high. Hope that helps...I can usually get people moving pretty quick that way. Good luck and nice choice with the GT. That'll be nice I bet.
Thats a tricky one, some people like to do the e-brake trick while learning, which is simply holding the ebrake up until u get some pull when u engage in first gear, then put it down and go. LoL.
When you first learn stick its sometimes hard to concentrate on both the clutch and the gas.
Go to a flat area like a parking lot and do this...
Push down the clutch and throw the stick into first...
Now, dont even THINK about touching the gas!
Simply slowly, slowly, and even more slowly ease your foot off the clutch. Eventually, the clutch will engage and the car will start rolling, now dont jump off the pedal! simply still slowly, slowly, slowly, come fully off the clutch pedal, you should be in gear and rolling.
Now give it gas, hey your driving without even touching the gas to get started! Do this often when you have time, eventually you will learn the engagment point of the pedal, and hills and stuff will be a breeze.
Dont be afraid to "ride" the clutch a little when ur on a hill, nothings worse then comming off the clutch way to fast when your first learning. Its ok to ride the clutch a tiny bit while learning in first gear to get started. Its better then rolling back into someone.
Not to go againts anyones advice here, but please never never hit the gas hard and yank off the clutch, this is how accidents happen. Simply give it some gas at the engagment point, and dont be afraid to stay at and on the engagement point when on a steep hill. alot of new drivers think this is riding the clutch. Technically it is, but not to the point where its going to destroy your clutch, or even really damage it.
Just learn your engagement point, and then on hills give it a grand on the tach and simply come to your engagement point until you start to go forward, then you can proceed to fully come off the clutch and get going with the gas.
