well i just replaced the clutch on a 92 cav 2.2 got it all back together and went to test it to see how my work paid off well the clutch was tough to push till i heard a snap and looked to find i had split the slave cylinder right along the seam now is the throw out Bearing hung up or is it something else any comments would be great
I'm not sure the set up on the older cavs but on the newer cavs, say 95 up, they have a slave cylinder. We have a slave cylinder because we have hydraulic clutch set ups. Throw out bearings are used for a mechanical clutch set up. Hydralics are used to engage and to disengae the clutch, where a spring is used to engage and disengae ina mechanical set up. I'm sure that is how they are set up, but i'm not 100%
