Question about cavy trunk lock
Wednesday, November 16, 2005 2:37 PM
I picked up a cavalier trunk lid to replace my sunfire's, and was wondering if i can use my sunfire's lock for the cavy's since it didnt come with one.

if i can, how to i get the sunfire's out of the hole with that damn trunk bezel and if not, what can i do to get a lock for it?

They will swap fine. There is a retaining strip of metal on the inside of the trunk. Pull that out ot the side and you can just pull the lock cylinder out of the trunk.

i'm assuming the lock cylinder is the silver piece where the key goes in, right?

twist the lock cylinder. it should have tabs on it that need to line up with notches in the trunk so it will slide right out.
