Yes and no.

Your hood should be fine, but any form of body kit will the scraped, scratched, and torn apart.

not true. i leave my kit on every year and last year i didnt have a beater so i was forced to drive it. yes the ice will probably scratch paint but it wont tear your kit apart. i never had a problem w/ snow and ice ruining my kit or cf hood

A buddy of mine had a Evo 3 kit on his focus. Last winter here, destroyed it. He kept getting stuck in the snow with it.

ok, im not really talking about getting stuck. i have another car to drive if the snow gets to deep, but i dont have a garage to put the car in. so most likely i will only need to repaint?

well if he tried to move snow w/ it then yea its gonna break. no you wont have to get it repainted. unless you actually move the ice across the paint when its frozen, thats the only way it will probably scratch but even then it probably wont. nothing has ever happened to my car in the winter

give it a good wax before the first snowfall, and if you happen to get a warm day during the winter, go ahead and wash/wax her again if you're that concerned.
