HELLO...

Newbie question.
I have a 01 Z with a 5 spd.. Lookin to give it a different sound.
I had been told that flowmaster 60 series gives a good deep mellow tone.. or any design of magnaflow. any difference in sound between the polished and regular style mufflers?? anyone that has had a 60 series or magnaflow on that has a sound clip?
I just dont want this thing to sound like a bee!!! lol
ALL info is GREATLY appreciated

Your best bet is to purchase a muffler along with a resonator. A resonator will help smooth and deepen the tone of your exhaust while keeping it at a lower volume. Read up and search resonators and you'll understand what I mean. In fact, I think there's an exhaust thread in the third gen forum that contains an explanation to what I'm talking about.

Blown.

Here is a sound clip of mine. I have Magnaflow mufflers but way more modifications and I DON'T have resonators (check my registry for my modifications):

Deep and mellow...... thats what Slamin Sunfire said about mine. I have a 2 1/2 inch system with no resanator and a turbo style muffler with tips. Sorry I have no sound clip.
But I can tell you from personal experence to only get a 40 series 3inch in duel 2 1/2out
if you like un-godly loud exhaust. I couldn't take mine.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
