Could somebody with experience with either putting on the sunfire front or type j rear give me a beginning to end intallation how-to? I searched front bumper removal and got no results, and i search sunfire front installation with no results and did the same for type j rear with nothing.
i want to do this myself so if you guys could help me out i'd appreciate it alot.

it would be better to have a pro do it. Cause each one is a little different, so for fitment, your gonna need to know where to drill holes and where to cut or sand to get it to fit right, Do it wrong, and it may cost more to fix your mistake then to have it put on right the first time.
they are both used, so they have already been fitted, so thats why i figured i'd be able to do it.
anybody help me out?

I have no idea...
If you don't know what you're, it would be worth it to take it to a professional.

I know that the crush material on the rear would give the type J reinforcement of you shave some off with a sawsall until it fits.
It really is a matter of trial and error. Just dont cut or drill anything until you are dam sure thats where you want it.

go pick up a haynes/chiltons manual for your fire. it should only cost you about $15. it will tell you how to remove your stock bumpers. if you need any help, feel free to hit me up on AIM
come see me for a day, ill help ya put it on
you drive to south jersey and i'll put it on for you
yeah where do you live? i could at least lend you a hand if you live around me.

It's not that hard.....for the front just remove the headlights and the radiator cover, then there's like 4 clips there, take those out..then take out the bolts that connect the fenders and the front bumper and any other ones if there are any. Also you may have to cut some of the crush panel for the front to fit, not sure on the sunfires but for my Type-J front I had to. Then bolt on the new bumper, get it fitting properly and your set.
I live in central PA its about 45 minutes away from harrisburg.
i dont have work for the next couple of weeks so i'm gonna see what i can do here with limited funds, if anybody wants to come help me man that would be so cool, i could get us a big garage to work in and will try to take care of you all the best i can.
but if anybody can get some free time and lives relatively close let me know, that would be so cool.

im only like 2 hours from york, if you drive to jersey i'll put it on
why don't you come out to shippensburg this weekend. my roommate and i are installing his prokit and agxs on saturday and we'd definitely be willing to help you with the install anytime after that.
well i kinda want to wait a little bit too because i cant get my sideskirts for atleast another week or so, and i dont want to look tacky driving around with my front and rear but no sides..
i reeeaaalllly wanna put it on though, so if you guys will be free in a couple weeks LET ME KNOW. i'll bump this thread when i get them or just PM either one of you guys if you'd still be willing to help out.
again this is really awesome of you guys to be wanting to help me out, i never would've thought people would respond like this
----------------------------------------------------------------
If you did come up to buffalo i'd help you and eazy out
i appreciate that man thats awesome.
would you think it's tacky to drive around without the skirts but with front and rear? my friends are tryin to talk me into doing it anyways
----------------------------------------------------------------
As long as it isnt for a long time, didn't you say a week? If thats the case I'd do it but if its gunna be about a month or more that would be kinda tacky, yes.
i did it when i had my dirft kit. i put the front and rear on but the sides were so warped i couldnt put them on. i only drove around like that for about a week til it went to the shop to get painted. im free pretty much every weekend. if you make the trip to jersey, i'll do it. i got all the tools and a garage
If you drive down to florida I would help you out too, but you probably wouldnt go for that.

^^haha i appreciate it bud
baggedcav i'll keep you in mind then, thanks a lot.
i just thought about it though, how am i going to transfer these bumpers? thatd be a hell of a squeeze in my little sedan
----------------------------------------------------------------
^^^bah, i transported a full kit from State college to buffalo in my coupe, not to ention we had it packed with stuff for the trip also, and i had a passenger. it sucked and was uncomfortable, but it worked.
i also transported a whole kit in my 91 shadow which is tiny, lol
i fit a 00z rear in my cav fine, i just put the passenger seat down and it fit perfectly in there. im sure you can squeeze a front in there too
