stupid car thefts

anywho this would be the 3rd time in about a year my car has been broken into and the deck jacked..this time it didnt even have the face plate with it.

anywho on that note ive decided to put my stock deck back in..but it has the wiring harness for aftermarket deck. Would i still be able to just hook it back up anyways.

and i would like to keep the amp for my speakers is there any type of filter, or box that converts speaker wire to av cables?

should be able to just unplug the harness from the stock harness and then you can reconnect your stock radio.

i sugges you invest in an alarm

well dude,

Thats crappy to here, I live in vancouver bc Canada, My friend had the same problem,Mean while the drug addicts tried to jack up my firnds car in his drive way to take his tires off his cavalier, He heard some banging out side, He made is way out to the front of the his quickly, Then beated both addicts to the dirt, with no problems. Cops showed up, Then were glad to not get their hands dirty. Even though my friend has alarm in his car then were still able to try to get 2 tires off, All tires have lock nuts. Like I say if a thieve wants nice parts off youre car its gone. Its crappy good people cant have nice things.

just install your stock radio but dont hook it up...install your new deck say...under your seat, saw one setup in the passenger airbag space, and one that was in the trunk. As far as how it was hooked up and how the radios were controlled i have no clue...i tried looking up some info but little time and mucho A.D.D. left me with no results...sorry

how about this: don't bother wasting your money on a system other than stock.

that, or move.

Put a metal plate across the front and run postive and negative wires in the back to battery. Much easier to catch crimals that are unconsious or seriously dazed with burnt fingers.

Disclaimer: this is a joke and should only be done by professionals if done.

As far as hooking an amp up to factory. Buy a high output convertor from Wal- mart. It just hooks up to the back speakers.

Maryland. your problem? you're in California, known for the most stringent laws about vehicle modification in the country.

we're a close second, but i know the laws well enough to have pushed at the boundaries of those laws without breaking them. about the only thing i DIDN'T do to the car was nitrous or some sort of boost, but i didn't see the point in an automatic. since she's now for sale, she's getting returned to stock - and the next car will have had even more work done, yet it will still pass emissions and inspection.

going back to the original topic...another option would be to insure the sound system separately...so you're not constantly forking over money for the stuff that gets stolen. first and foremost, however, get a frickin alarm on the car.

i didn't have to do anything to it. i could drive it in as it sat in front of my house, and it would pass everything.

Back when I was a teenager, I had a '69 that I built and loved that car to death. I had an illegal alarm on that car. It made no noise, if you do not consider live voltage running through the body of the car, and a 100+ pound pit bull inside the car. LOL.
