hey all i wouldve put this in a nitrous except i consider myself a newb
i have a question; previously i had problems with my kit..bad parts etc.. but i got that all sorted.
Now my question is why does my nitrous tend to work better in third gear then secound and 4th?.
is there a certain reason like gear timing? or my nitrous just isnt doing anything more for my car at higher speeds?
I got it setup for the lowest shot i can use which is 35.
thnks for your reply
most people set up nitrous to engage when you're at WOT. that seems to be the safest setting possible.
that's about the extent of my nitrous knowledge.

im not sure. i have an auto
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
id say if youre confident, do it from a stop... if your not so confident, id say through third or fourth... most likely you want to use it in the gear you'll be in the longest... id say.
good luck
35hp.. you aren't going to feel much. Every single time you shift, you are changing the ratio of engine speed to wheel speed (obviouse, but hear me out.) Third gear is pretty much going to be your mean. Second gear is going to go by quickly either way and throw you back a little, the extra power will barely be noticable because of the amount of power you already had. Fourth gear isn't going to be much noticable because the gear is just longer. If you don't spray until mid-way through 4th, you will feel it kick in when you do. Whil it feels like third is your best friend on the bottle, it's really just the butt dyno.
Bump up to a 75 wet and get a wideband A/F and EGT gauge to make sure it is all safe. You will have a lot more fun.

man that explanation sounded great, thanks man as for the 35 shot yes its pitifull but i got it for the more of the fact of having then blowing up my engine....back when i didnt have it setup right..say a complete dry 75 shot i blew my head gasket soon after..learned my lesson the hard way, but i got mls headgasket now
im pretty sure 35 wont do alote of harm to my engine
That is a 75 dry shot though... One of the most important things to take into consideration in keeping a headgasket is cylinder temperatures. Dry = lean, lean = hot. That;s all there is to it. a 75 wet shot is probably safer than a 35 dry. I'm running a 100hp wet direct port shot on my turbo sunbird right now with a progressive controller and I don't hesitate to leave it spraying even after I hit 20+ lbs of boost. Just keep an eye on the EGTs.
