I am using up all the space on my center console for switches and guages, anyone know of any overhead consoles that would look good in a z-24? or even any other form of alternate strorage in the front area...

As long as you dont have a sunroof. Look at the s-10 blazers, gmc jimmy. like 94-01 I think they had a console that had some nice features that will work with the cav roof lines inside. Problem that you may encounter is mounting it. Your not going to be able to run screws in on the back side (rear) of the console or any console for that matter. No reinforcement ot attach to. You could attach it to the headliner but I dont want to give you that advice cause it may not last long.
Best bet is to make metal brackets, grind the underside of the roof skin and the brackets and use a good metal bonding epoxy.

I know what you mean about the space issue.
